According to various news channels I hear that the coroner withheld one of the names because the family asked her to until other family members were notified. The SO, on the other hand, released the name. Will Tracy Hawkins start another petition to oust Sheriff Wenninger because he was disrespectful to the family? I'll bet not.

I thought it was the coroners job to notify relatives not the sheriff. Don't they know the law?

It appears Tracy Hawkins has created a bunch of "Useful Idiots." Useful Idiots have destroyed every county in which they have seized power and control. It is presently happening at an alarming rate in Brown County.

It appears the sheriffs department has been told if you can't follow the laws, then keep you hands off and let BCI take over the investigation. BCI should give a few more lessons to the Prosecutor and Judge Gusweiler and teach them the laws of Ohio.

Isnt it amazing how quickly BCI solved these murders ? What is soo different between these and the one that happened inside the jail, a controlled and monitored environment ?

The 911 callers gave them the suspects. The BCI investigated. The Clermont County Sheriff's Department caught them. What exactly is it our sheriff's department did?

Very true and they wonder why no one believes in them. They've proven so many times just how incompetent they are or is it that they want to prove to eveyone that no matter what they do nothings going to be done about it.Brown Co is rated as one of the worst counties to see that justice is served.

Throughout my travels in life, I have always been interested in how other states, counties and local municipalities manage their Government. In watching their local news stations to include our own local news stations, I have seen either the Police Chief, Sheriff or a Prosecutor discuss issues on the news in " High Profile " cases.
I have not ONE time seen the Sheriff or Prosecutor in Brown County on the local news in the more recent " High Profile " cases. Perhaps its just a style or would there be another reason ? Joe Deters and Mark Piepmeir in Hamilton County Prosecutors Office are always willing to open themselves to the public they serve. Heck, even the judges are honorable enough to allow themselves to be interviewed. I cannot say I have ever seen a judge from Brown County address a " High Profile " case on the news after it was disposed.
Why is Brown County so different than other counties ? The people will never know whats good or bad about their government if they don't compare it to others with Integrity. Its 2014, isn't it time for the people to stand up and demand Brown County transition in, its processes at least equal to Industry Standards ?
That does NOT cost the taxpayers a lot of money. It ONLY requires you put elected officials in places of management who have " Strong Morals " and " Integrity ". Why would you think you need anything less in Brown County ?
Money doesn't " Make the Man ", " Integrity " does !

In a strange, roundabout way you describe why I chose to live in Mason County. Not perfect, just "saner".

It is such a shame, Brown County could be a much more attractive place to live. However, when you cant feel safe, be it from the criminal element or Law Enforcement it becomes uncomfortable. Strikingly odd, you can see commercial development and growth, shouldn't the County Commissioners put as much attention in the management of their Law Enforcement, Jail and Court System ? Has anyone heard anything from ANY of them with regard to the most recent issues ?

Route 32 brings the best (and worst) of both worlds to Brown County. Back in the day, everyone thought Hamilton! OH was dead when I 75 bypassed it. In retrospect, it probably worked out to their betterment. I made a poopload of money on some properties I owned in Lindenwald. BTW, have you been in Fairfield lately?

It is a shame but those in power are more concerned with their own petty interests and not those of the community. The only one I've read of saying anything is Daryl Gray who told a reporter they need to do something because everyday someone says they need to get rid of the coroner. I took that to mean that the SO is whining everyday to him. It was a totally unprofessional and stupid thing to say but what do you expect? They are as big a problem as other county leaders who seem totally uncaring and unable to do anything to move Brown County forward. Again, citizens vote for buddies, neighbors, relatives and not who would work for the county.
