According to the article in the News Democrat it sounds like the special prosecutor is blaming the coroner for this going to the grand jury. I give her credt not blame. Where do they get these people? He was an asst prosecutor under Don White in Clermont County and one of Joe Deters's cronies. He's the one that managed the deal that let Amy Baker walk away free from the Marcus Fiesel case. Great.
Whats the name ?

car007, I repeat: You do not know him as well as you think you do. I stand by what I posted.
Gus, I am sure you do, just as I do. We shall agree to disagree until you qualify your comments. I can quote many who know him and his family for many years who will support what I say about his love for his family.

I must ask you, what is it you think anyone can do for a family member who is an adult ? Unless otherwise ordered by the court, an adult makes any and all decisions pertaining to themselves. Just how is it, you qualify what you allege ?

Unless you can, I stand by my comment that your only expressing an opinion you have heard from another source that is not necessarily reliable, or you are someone with other motives for saying this.

Care to qualify or simply explain how an adult is not responsible for themselves unless otherwise directed by a court order ? Thank You

car007 it is like trying to take a horse and taking it to water and trying to make it drink. But on the other hand if it wants to come and drink and it is refused that is totally a different story. Enough said.

YOU have your thoughts for whatever reason, I am just not sure they are based on unbiased conditions and we shall continue to disagree. You stated your point, albeit without anything to support it and this is where we shall leave it. Enough said, yes.

Thanks Bud,,,,,,

Woody was under the Simon Leis and Art Ney regime actually. I do not believe he ever worked under Joe Dieters. If so, it was a very short time and he left for Clermont County if my memory is correct. My memory also recalls Woody being passed over for promotion in Hamilton County, hence his departure for better opportunities. I am not 100%, but that's what my memory is telling me from years ago working within the Hamilton County Justice System.

I recall him as being somewhat aggressive as an assistant prosecutor. I haven't had any contact with him since he left Hamilton County years ago. I hope he will be as aggressive in his pursuit for justice in this case ! He surely has experience and knowledge in this arena; lets hope it will be put to the greater cause for those who truly have been victimized !

Thanks for the info! Your thoughts give me hope. I just want justice served! His last quote in the Democrat gave me pause. Of course, you never know how accurate quotes are in newspapers especially these little local rags.

100% correct on any news story, its a 50/50 shot for sure !

Regarding Woody, time will tell. All I can say is what I know from my contacts with him many years ago.

I kind of saw him as a rising star, very direct and carried himself well in the courtroom when working in Hamilton County. As is the case everywhere, there just isn't enough room for more than one prosecutor to steer the ship. In my opinion at that time, it was Hamilton Counties Loss !

If that same work ethic is exercised in the Brown County case as I observed with Woody in Hamilton County years ago, I would expect to see him execute his responsibilities most admirably.

Again, I state this with a " disclaimer attached " if the years have changed his style from many years ago. I am hopeful and optimistic however !

It is time for this all to come forward at any rate and there is always an avenue for resolve beyond the state level, if warranted.( possibly )

I read what the ND had in their paper and the judge said Dr. Varnau made mistakes but was not to the level of removal.

In Hawkins appeal it looked like there were more lies than truth that she was filing. If she put in what the BCSO did wrong in her filing then she needs to file against the BCSO. It is strange she never mentioned the murder in the jail and that the BCSO did nothing about it. That would be a better case for her to file on being is has almost been ten months since it happened.

Is there something I am missing here or is it a fixation to try to remove the coroner? In other county's the officer stays until all of the other people are finished taking pictures, collecting evidence (guns, etc), taking statements and removing the body then that officer secures the scene by locking the doors if it is inside and making sure there is a rope or tape that people do not cross because it could still be under investigation. How long has BCSO not been doing the proper police work?

Adam, you make all the sense in the world. Problem being, this is Brown County Ohio and it is managed by folks who do things their own way, without regard to industry standards or proper processes. If they did, none of this would be in question and the taxpayers wouldn't be getting HOSED out of their hard earned money in defense spending !

The Chief Deputy I believe said, they just cannot do business in Brown County like other areas do. That about says it all and their " ACTIONS " tell it all !

Lets HOPE, the legal wizards from the State of Ohio or the Federal Government can make it right for the people of Brown County Ohio ! The County Commissioners and a SMALL number of people sure cannot !
