I lived in Mooresville for 7 years. It's a nice rural town. It's growing. In ways not a lot to do there, but plenty of farm land if you like rural areas. Rural, but not too far away from things.

PS....Make sure you keep your kids out of Monrovia schools though. They don't have much to offer. I wouldn't call them a 4 star school system. More like 2 Star, it that. Better yet stay out of Martinsville..Red neck all the way.

Had to move away a couple of years ago to a little larger town a couple of hours away...
Really appreciate it more now. I miss it much more than I thought I would.. |

I just moved here, and it's okay. I am kind of amazed at how many people have tatoos on their necks. Names of other people and such. No effect on anything really, just strange.
There are things to do, two great feed stores, lots of nice people. Not a far drive to "the big city". Lots of small town stores. I live in mooresville proper and can get to 3 grocery stores, 6 fast food places, 3 sit down resturants, many banks and churchs, 4 or 5 pizza places, CVS, Walgreens, three auto stores, a park with a pool and more all within 2 miles. Biffs downtown has the greatest bismarks. Named as such 50 years ago, theirs are cinnamon rolls with icing, homemade bread - french toast, but watch out for the sausage. That is what makes it a greasy spoon.:) No movie theater but the Tibbs drive-in is about 8 miles away. 4 screens, two movies per screen, on weekends they run the first movie again, so you can see three movies for $10 per person.(you can move from screen to screen.) Not a lot of snow in the winter, but it gets a bit muddy in the spring. Summers are 80 - 90 degree days, cooler at night. Spring and fall are terrific. Great fall colors. |
