You get what you ask for. Since most city and county elections get about 20%-30% turnout of registered voters, 70%-80% of the people have no room to talk. The same people have represenetd Jeff. Co. in Montgomery for my entire life, so whose fault is it that there is no change? Think about it - a sane person would not want a city or county office where people call you at home all hours of the day and night, and want to exchange favors for votes. So if a sane person won't run, look where that leaves us. Men fought to initiate the right to vote in this country. The vote was later granted to freed slaves and then women. Now it is too much trouble to go vote, so we sit and complain.
