I have many fond memories of Camp Olympic from the early 70's. Sad to see it go.

So, you got 19 unqualified people plus a consultant to help with the plan?

That's amazing. That's why you have zero progress.

BTW, who decided that it was worth what you paid for it?

Also amazing........

Hey, I have an idea. Why don't you make it into a big fat development like you did with the rest of the township...

Perhaps they should build a new high school there since the reason Emmaus High School won't be big enough is because of the astronomical number of new houses built in LMT. Emmaus didn't experience nearly as much growth but we are stuck having to pay higher taxes because of poor judgement my LMT officials. Funny, they have never cared about preserving wildlands before, why start now!

Use the Ground for to build a Police Department headquaters the Township needs and on another part of the 102 acres build a Firefighter training center, both would help the township emencely.

That's a great idea, Luke, but that would require the LMT tightwads who have been kicking around the idea of establishing a township police force since 1973 to actually take the step of implementing a township real estate tax to pay for it.

Its amazing that they can find money to set up a park but not to ensure their own public safety. Its baffling.

2.5mil for aprox 100 acres = 25,000 per acre plus the buildings, pool, etc. sounds like a good deal. just hope some politically connected developer doesn't get his hands on it.

Let's flood that whole dang area and make a big arse lake. We can use boat rentals, waverunners and parasailing to pay for a new police department.

Plus repairs, maintenance, security, insurance......

Who were the alternative buyers, and did anyone else even bid?

........

About the schools -- Yep, LMT is getting all of the new buildings, and others will pay for it. Nice, isn't it!

How about a zoning variance in Emmaus, then build UP while rationing the parking spaces? WHY not?

Oh, because that would not result in a new school, and new sports teams....... Have two HS simply doesn't make any sense.
