I almost bought one of these. Glad I didn't, although I think it was improper usage of the product that led to the death of that poor baby, not the product itself. Anyway, our baby had sinus/breathing problems for a few months after birth, so she just slept in her car seat. Worked just fine.

For our son, who had the same sinus/breathing issues, we elevated his crib mattress and this work fine for him.
Just last month we had his tonsils and adenoids removed. A whole lot better; sleeps better and no more snoring, sleep apnea, etc. Check with your peds doctor or visit an ear-nose-throat specialist..

I think if the child can roll, you really shouldn't use it. And if your child can roll do not put it in a crib. I'm sorry the child died but you should know better then to put it in a crib anyway! I am the mother of two and I would hate to lose one of them like that! Think before you do.
