New laws just in for the City of Berwyn;
(1) No school student shall make any friends, nor shall any school student form any type of friendship with, any student not part of the individual's graduating class.
(2) Under absolutely no circumstances shall any school student make any friends with, or form any type of friendship/acquaintanceship with, any student of the opposite sex/gender.
All violators will be arrested for statutory stalking, as well as pre meditated trespassing.
Additionally, all students of Morton West High School are to exit only through the cafeteria doors on Home Avenue during dismissal. Students who exit any other way will be arrested and charged with pre meditated statutory stalking. Home Avenue is barricaded off from Riverside Drive to Cermak Road from 2:30 to 3:00 pm and an armed four-person SWAT team equipped with conventional SWAT weapons plus an electric shield is now stationed within the area. In the unlikely event (due to the Adult Curfew for the entire City of Berwyn, every school day from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm) that any trespasser is seen within the barricaded area, that person will be immediately slammed by SWAT, handcuffed, and taken directly to jail, no questions asked, and any trespasser within the barricaded area who attempts to flee the police may be fired upon by SWAT.
They appear to be aggressively enforcing it hard at Morton's football games, too! The Morton Football stadium has been sectioned off into 5 sections, A, B, C, D, and E. Students are restricted to sections D and E only while families and alumni are restricted to sections A, B, and C only. Basically, students are forbidden to sit in sections A, B, or C, and alumni/parents/families are forbidden to sit in sections D, or E. The school even has security staff that order all students into sections D and E only, and also block the pathway to sections A, B, and C.

Actually it is more isolated than that, mustangs fan. Sections D and E are restricted to students only, Section C is restricted to parents and JSM cheerleaders, band members, etc, and alumni are restricted to Sections A and B only. And in fact, the school has even a massive history of handing out detentions, Saturday Suspensions, LAC's and even out of school suspensions to students seen sitting outside the Section D/Section E area! And to make matters worse, the school has been known to kick out, and the Berwyn Police Department has even started arresting, alumni seen sitting outside the Section A/Section B area!

Berwyn has really crashed right into the rocks from the social paradise it was in the early 1990s, and has become a complete snobhole and a virtually bone dry social desert, governed by laws that make sure Berwyn stays a social desert without a single oasis in sight! What a difference a decade can make!

Just say it.
It's the students.
It's the race?

I just noticed the other day too, that the maximum speed limit for the entire City of Berwyn is 20 miles per hour, and if they even clock you at 21 miles per hour anywhere within the City of Berwyn, even on the busy streets such as Ridgeland, Oak Park, Cermak, Riverside Drive, East, and even Harlem, Roosevelt, and Pershing, it means an automatic ticket for speeding.

It's also just been found out that Berwyn has another law that states that once a high school student turns 18, all after school detentions are to be served either at the police station, or the county jail. No ifs, ands, what ifs, sorrys, or buts, and no questions asked!

I can testify to all except for the adult curfew. Adults are still out and about in Berwyn within the time mentioned, however, the Berwyn Police Department does heavily frown upon adults being near minors.

As for the speed limit, it has been found to be 25 miles per hour.

There may not yet be an adult curfew in Berwyn, but given the amount of corruption and "scrooge cops" in the Berwyn Police Department revealed in several different threads, an adult curfew may well be next. And who knows. It could be 1:30 to 5 pm, it could be 2:25 to 3:25, or it could even be 6 am to 6 pm. And even the Berwyn cops themselves might decide that they are going to use deadly force on anyone, even totally unarmed, who is out and about in Berwyn during those times. Before you know it, there could even be SWAT teams right in the hallways of Morton West High School all day every school day.

Berwyn, IL. used to be a nice little bohemian / Italian / multicultural community , not Mayberry but certainly not Beruit back then when I lived there circa early 90's . Now it is a militarized march to the whimsical law created by enforced by and enjoyed only by the militarized over reach of the long arm of the law. Must be a lot of money in it for the Berwyn P.D. Freedom takes a back seat in Berwyn Illinois. Thought crimes are fully enforced and prosecuted. Enjoy yourself there . Too bad Fitzegeralds , Katherine and the family. I find my Blues / jazz and music elsewhere.

Not only does freedom take a back seat in Berwyn, but socializing is like the passenger that has been thrown out of the rear doors onto the street in Berwyn. Indeed, Berwyn used to be a nice community of Italians, Germans, Frenchs, Polishs, and such. Now the nice ones have moved out and stuck up Americans have taken over ("American woman, stay away from me!" certainly a lot of people know that song). People with hard hatred towards their neighbors. Berwyn is a dry and barren social desert. And in fact, it can even truly be said that the heavy damage from last year's severe thunderstorms in South Berwyn (including that huge tree that reportedly fell on two houses near 38th and Grove) is God's punishment on Berwyn for it's total lack of friendliness, love amongst neighbors, especially in fact the widespread cold raging hard hatred and bitterness that the Berwyn residents of today harbor towards other people, especially including their neighbors, single people, people not part of their immediate cliques, families, parents who strictly forbid their children to talk to anyone of the opposite gender especially in their own schools, and such. Truly, it can be said that trees on cars and houses after last year's severe thunderstorms is God's punishment for exactly those kinds of behaviors!
