I wonder how the additional weight on the back end of the SUV will make it handle on slippery roads. The Explorer that I drove in the past was lousy in the snow with the wide police tires on it.

But hey - they will save the residents some money!!! Good luck, Bernville Police. Be careful!

That actually is since the Police usually respond to Fire and EMS calls. I know in the past I've been on calls were we had to call for DPW assistance to get to the calls because of snow and ice. This will hopefully cut down on some response times.
