There was always something going on if you just went out and talked to the "cool people" The challenge was finding a party!

I remember Western Days, the Mule Barn, and Belles. The carwash on the north of town had the COLDEST sodas in GLASS bottles. Mr. Lee, Mr. Dawson, Mrs. Keathley, Mrs. Tanner, Mr. & Mrs. Hawley, Mrs. Sides (remember watching the psych films in her class and the ones we always sang along with?), Mr. McGowan, Mrs. Zoll.

Wonder if a street dance like we had at Western Days could be added to the Fall Festival?? Play a variety of music (almost from the last 100 yrs) so that all generations could attend?

Yes I remember all those places. We sure had some great times in the early 80s in Bernie.
I might have had a part in toilet papering Mr Lee's house........as well a "Frog" Faries house. Does anyone remember him. Anyone here work with him de-tasseling corn?
Anyone remember the blue and white '69 camaor that raised soo much cain in the early 80s? Defenitely cut a few donuts behind Brown Shoe and all over town!
I de-tasseled corn for Faris work crew. Tough work, made me realize that I didn't want to do that for a living! I was around when the camero was raising cain too. Alot of races have been ran on the road west of town! There was a "glowing" tombstone south of town too...alot of good memories.

I sort of remember that camero. It was cool. I didn't even like beer back then, but I couldn't miss a keg party. Yes, I also detassled that corn for $3.50 an hour or something too. (I did some time on frog's crew, but he fired me for cussing at him)

Kings Tavern, Bells, The car wash, The Mule Barn, Stone Bridge, Reefers Bend....To be young again not a care in the world. Remember back then everyone partied together didn't matter if you were rich, poor, jock, nerd, black or white everyday we would meet either at Bells or the Mule Barn put our money together get gas load up put in the tape L.C. made "Rainbow in the Dark" "Feel the Noise" and a few more and nothing else in the world mattered at the time except cruising around..Sometimes I miss not necessarily the time and the things we did I miss the people...

I use to love playing putt putt golf by Belles on the weekends! My mother remembers a skating rink on McNew, does anyone else rem. that? I grew up in what was considered the country Pfeiffer Subdivision gravel roads and tons of kids finding trouble. That is City Limits now days! I rem. Sug Lee and Larry Hampton being the policemen! OOH and Sunday Night dedications would call and call til they answered so McKinley Rainey could tell the boy I met at flavors on Sat night that the Nelson song reminded me of our love! GOOD TIMES!

I remember too getting gym shorts every year at Winers! They were super ugly blue of some unknown material that you had to wear! And while in there Horsie would talk you into buying any dang thing! My mother had to explain to me what Hoods and Rednecks were b/c someone had wrote it in the alley with spray paint (wonder who that was)! What about Belles never could decide b/t those breaded mushrooms or cheeseballs with a cherry vanilla coke!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
