I was just thinking...if indeed Boy Scouts would include those practicing homosexuality...they would need to change their name...otherwise Boy Scouts would be a verb as well as a noun...
Wow, Joseph. And here I thought you were better than that.

Do you claim to know more on the subject than mental health professionals?

Fifty-five years, boy and man, of scouting has taught me many invaluable lessons. One of which is that BSA, nationally, is wrong on a great many things. In the 50s and 60s they caved in on integration. As the 70s came in they gave in to nonChristian and Mormon participation.. They will change, in time. Public pressure and reality will over take them.

And love the evolution of health professionals. No genetic markers for orientation. A big disappointment. Go to UNM department of psychiatry Grand Rounds. Good videos.

If an institution takes federal dollars, it must follow regulations. Seems pretty cut and dry.

They do not take federal funds. Seems like you don't get that. Why don't you cite the federal funds they get, beyond those I cited. AARP gets federal funds. NPR gets federal funds. BS NADA.

Mental health professionals caved into pressure years ago...

It's nice when society gets to redefine their values to suit their base desires.

It does follow regulations...it's called the Constitution...which supersedes any boneheaded law to try and circumvent freedoms of speech and expression...

So this is what happens when you redefine morality to suit your lifestyle?
Hmm..
It's what happens when morality is stuck in time, resistant to science, and refuses to negotiate with reality.

Morality is not relative, science has not shown in any kind way of that people are "born" this way - inconclusive and biased studies at best, and when you're on the team that would rather FORCE choices on groups like the Boy Scouts or Chik Fil A, FORCE them to believe and act as you do...you are on the team that does not negotiate OR compromise...and are therefore stuck in your own immoral reality...
So does

But au contraire. The new Church of Morality is the government. Your outdated morality does not have the life of the government's rules, regulations and lows. It is a live document. Something that was not "written" thousands of years ago. The Constitution is a living document and social contract that changes with the times. Get out of the last century and smell the coffee. The outdated is going to end up on the trash heap of history. No compost there.

Must have been a Freudian slip. Meant the government's LAWS, not lows.

Ah...so the government dictates the morality now...wait...isn't that what governments used to do...for example - romans and then the british? Interesting...so as the Constitution "evolves", it is evolving back toward a government that tells you what morals are outdated and what morals aren't...hmmm...

You sure you want to go there? Because there is nothing in the constitution barring same sex marriage or drug use, either.

Yes, like switching from one branch of christianity, to follow the ramblings of a woman who had a traumatic brain injury. You do know the history of your beloved SDA church, don't you?

True...and indeed I agree that they should actually have that right under the Constitution to get married...

But groups like the Boy Scouts have the same right to hold their beliefs...

You wouldn't ask that Nazi run a Jewish synagogue or a Jew run a skinhead group would you?

Didn't realize that someone with a closed head injury and seizures wasn't to be listened to or believed. Geschwind syndrome. I guess we have a lot of those among our congresscritters who go undiagnosed.
