According to search warrants, the haul breaks down to 548 handguns and 317 rifles. Additionally, investigators seized 599 pistols and revolvers from inside a building off Carlisle NE.
That is one serious load of weapons! A hobby or??? It would be interesting to know if (1) they were all legally obtained, and (2) how long it took to amass such a stash.

From the scene on TV it looked like they were hauling out rifles, mostly bolt action as far as I could tell - possibly old foreign military rifles. They didn't show any handguns.

The media is focused on rifles which they equate to assault weapons so I'm not in the least surprised they didn't shot footage of the handguns.

Makes ya wonder if he was trying to collect one of everything<G>. Some serious coin invested and sure would be fun to browse it!

Now to see what they think they have and the spin they put on it.

He was a dealer, an FFL, who also sold curios and relics (firearms over 50 years old etc.). That is how he amassed such a number. You can go to his website.

I expected he was as most hobbiests wouldn't typically have that many guns in their home, which also explains those stored in the other bldg they mentioned. Now to see what it is the feds ~think~ they have found here that's illegal.
