Well as long as he didn't use of any of the taxpayers money it must be ok. After all, we are told to be careful with our money and avoid scams by the AG. Must have been a misunderstanding. There are no crooks in our government. I repeat, there are no.....

My suggestion is that we put all prisoners on work release and let them run the Goverment office. It seems that we could save a lot of money this way instead of having high paid criminals running this place.

"I have appointed a task force of independent auditors to work with the Town Finance Director to further assess the credit card records in question and submit recommendations to the council," = I'm trying to push my problem off to someone else, while I can think of a good excuse to explain how I and Robin Leach wasted the town's money. Period.

"I have appointed a task force of independent auditors to work with the Town Finance Director to further assess the credit card records in question and submit recommendations to the council," she said.

Take the credit cards away, make them pay for expenses out of their own pocket then summit an expense report to be reimbursed for actual government expenses. strip bars are not included in entertainment on governement expenses. see how much money the state of new mexico will save.

Ms. Mayor/Town Finance Director, there is no need to form a "task force" to waste more tax dollars. Just apply some old fashion advanced accounting...(I know this is deep) Have all employees that are issued a government credit card submit receipts with their justifications at the end of every month. "Now that wasn't such a long walk now was it."

P.S. This is the second submission, I do not appreiate the removal of this comment that was posted following the terms of service.

Chavez is also asking the task force to help come up with a way to improve the town's record keeping.

Try this way, hire an honest accounting firm from OUTSIDE of NM with NO political connections to any politician.

And don't be so free with passing out cridet cards.

This guy AGAIN? He used to be the Finance Director in San Miguel County, he and Francisco Apodada were both butt buddies with Jesus Lopez, they are the ones that nearly bankrupted San Miguel County. You need to go look up in Francisco Apodaca, he too was just recently indicted for taking money from the County Credit Card in Valencia County!
Be very aware of these two, and his lastname, wich they totally mispronounced is like "yurgee"
Stephen Jerge, YURGEE
I hope they file charges against him

And I'm not in California, I'm using a public computer, dont know why it says Santa Barbara, Albuquerque here.

I think that Mayor Patricia Chavez is going in the right direction. We should not be too quick to judge. Have more faith in the Town of Bernalillo, I grew up here and love this town. I have complete faith that the Mayor and the Town Council can fix the problem.

Berna has great events, like the Bernalillo Wine Festival. Why don’t we focus on fun and popular events like this?

Bernagirl, are you serious??!?! The mayor, and all of her appointees got us into this mess! On the investigation that aired last week, it was obvious that she is out of touch with what is going on! It is incompetence at its finest! She never went in the right direction and has done nothing for the betterment of our community that the real mayor Mr. Aguilar wasn't already working on before getting ousted by her. Open your eyes!!! We should focus on the positive that happens in this community such as our wine festival, and not to mention our beloved matachines, but she has found a way to try to alter those as well. It is time for her resignation.

Meanwhile, Steve Jerge is having another sip of Cherry Kijafa at the taxpayers' expense and laughing about what a bunch of putzes New Mexico voters are for enabling other equally crooked politicians like him to run these 3-ring circuses
known as municipal, county and state governments in New Mexico.

This stinks of impropriety! Bernalillo's books need to be looked at while this guy is out of town for a week.
