They let children be tortured to death, parents murder their children and leave them buried in the sandbox and do NOTHING...
Because they are too busy "investigating" middle school rumors - LIES - tearing apart innocent families.
And now my family is about to be subjected to the gestapo tactics of CYFD because my husband delivered one well-deserved slap to our teenager who mouthed off to his grandmother.
Any advice? How do we get these nazis out of our hair? Why do they bother a two parent family that tries to raise children with old fashioned manners and respect for elders instead of doing their jobs and getting kids out of the hands of crackheads?

If it was just a slap to the face and nothing more than you have nothing to worry about unless youÂ’re really abusing your kid. From personal experience, I had them called on my family on 2 occasions by my mother in law who does not like that face that I make my boys do chores and help out around the house. She called them up, told them I was beating them. CYFD went to their schools and interviewed them; I was not notified about that until after the kids got home. A couple of days later they came and interviewed the wife and I and did an inspection of our home and went on their way. That was the last time I heard from them.

That is really surprising. CYFD has a financial incentive to kidnap children. The more children in the system, the more funding they receive.

NEVER allow them in your home without a warrent!!!! You have a 4th amendment right that is designed to protect citizens from intrusive government action. Its so sad to see so many people willingly giving up their rights.

I am not surprised to hear so many stories of corruption within the CYFD. And I, unfortunately, have fallen victim to this. They brought an officer to my home without a warrant, searched my home and seized my children based on false accusations. I contacted the police department and they told me no warrant was needed since they had "concern for the welfare of my children". Is this true? I was, very unfortunately, unaware of my rights in dealing with them because I had never dealt with them before, and never expected to have to deal with them. And still lack the necessary knowledge in dealing with this situation. The social worker we are dealing with is a vicious bulldog who demanded my children be placed in foster care. And of course she had money to make if this had happened. They gave our children back to us after we signed their "safety plan".(which took away our rights as parents to not vaccinate) And they are still lurking in the shadows waiting for us to somehow screw up. I can barely eat or sleep now. I've lost 10 lbs in 5 days and look like a raccoon in the face. They are tearing us apart. They even tried to talk my husband into saying he wanted a divorce. Told bold faced lies that we caught them in thanks to many witnesses to our situation. CYFD is a state agency drunk with power. You can see it in the faces of their workers, hear it in their words. Their vehicles show up in our neighborhood often, and in other neighborhoods throughout our community at least 4 times a month. My neighbor is one of their watch dogs and will call them for anything she doesn't like. I'm ashamed to admit they have me scared. I used to think CPS was a godsend for children and families. Thought any one who spoke out against them was probably just someone secretly abusing their children. My god was I wrong. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way that CPS is a rabid dog just waiting for it's next piece of meat to walk by with their children. All the while ignoring the cries of those children who are truly in harms way. I'm sickened. Sickened and scared to death.

All these comments that I have read sound like what happened to us. We were taking care of our great grandchildren because their parents were in jail. We had them for three weeks when CYFD came with a bunch of lies and took our kids. The first time they took them they were put in an unfit foster home, the second time they were put in with an elderly lady who didn't even let them take baths regularly and their needs were not being met. Not they took them to Albuquerque because the caseworker says that one of the kids has ADD and detachment syndrome. They came in with a bunch of lies called in by a person that doesn't like the granddaughter. She is the stepmother and has made it a hell for my granddaughter since she was young. Not she is still getting involved in her life and keeps calling CYFD with her lies. All those workers at CYFD should be put in the same situation to see how they like it when their kids are subjected to such treatment. Maybe this is what they need to open their eyes. They are sickening.

The thing is CYFD people don't care about the children. They lump everyone together, good and bad. When they should really be there for the children, they are not. But they sure meddle in our business when they get called with lies. I really wish there was someone out there that could help. Like maybe the Governor.

CYFD has an impossible job. People have babies they have no idea how to raise, can hardly afford to feed, and would rather neglect than give up their drugs and booze for.

The church is little help, obviously. In fact, you could say pretty much the same thing about them that you can say about CYFD.

We can start by sterilizing serial welfare queens and deadbeat dads, but that's a non-starter for those who think it's a plot against minorities. So until we can talk openly about how a large percentage of the population recreate without any plan, nothing's going to get better.

CYFD is charged with investigating the possible abuse of children. Generations of children gone before were abused and now those children are beating the daylight out of their children today. The failure of those "Adults" going back 40 years or more was that they decided that the responsibility for protecting children lies SOLELY in the hands of CYFD. Now you have a Governor Susana Martinez that institutes a tattletale line (#SAFE) directly to CYFD, forcing them to investigate every BS claim of child abuse with no increase in staff or budget.
CYFD is not the problem, it's you and your parents. Until you work to gain an understanding of the entirety of a problem and are willing to work to find a real solution, you really just need to shut up. Keep cutting the budgets of school districts and see how many future parents (today's children) believe you when you say you care about the protection of children when you didn't protect them from losing their favorite teacher, and didn't protect them when they needed you parents to step up on their behalf the most!

Read this link below. My Honey has been thru 15 cps interviews, I went thru 7 with her since I met her. None have turned up anything. If you read the book, Cows, Pigs, Wars and Witches, when conservatives take over ,they usually try to break up people and families, and Gov. Johnson put them into play in this state. Heather wilson was the first head.

CPS does nothing. Only 1 of 20 investigations are even semi legit, and most of those come from police investigations, not the 1-800 numbers or other state workers-just cops doing their job, and already having found actual child abuse. All the rest are new ways to support unemployed and somewhat mental psych majors from UNM.

1st) CYFD "social workers" pick and choose their cases on the basis of either getting publicity or dodging a bullet. Anything else is too labor-intensive for these lazy twats.

2nd) CYFD relies on police reports (always 100% accurate, right ?) and reports from juvenile probation officers are ignored. Why ? Because CYFD has castrated the authority of JPPO department to avoid liability by using police reports. The ONLY staff of CYFD that is SUPPOSED to be in the field EVERYDAY is the JPPO, but they are locked to desks doing "data entry"... The simple truth is that the highest end administrators in CYFD have never been in the field, have never even seen or dealt with a poor kid, a poor family or a gang banger except from what they gleen from TV shows and news reports. The CYFD "social workers" ONLY go "in the field" with police or security backup and so sit in their ivory towers trying to impress a judge with their "experience".

3) to be cont...

3rd) Many, many JPPOs hear from kids they are supervising who tell them a step-parent is abusing them and, as usual, the bio-parent denies it. Most, if not all JPPOs have had this experience where they are in court addressing a childs' misdeed and the abusive step-parent is sitting there smirking, knowing the abuse will go on. The JPPO informs the "social worker" who only instructs them "to keep an eye on the kid" - tough to do sitting at a desk all day wondering how the kid is holding up to the sexual or physical abuse but told to let their "investigation" continue.

4th) As often as we hear about dirty judges, cops and politicians, we far more often hear of very dirty CYFD workers and administrators. Why isn't CYFD and their lazy-ass "social workers" sued more often. Who is in charge there ? Why are these creeps with no "field experience" making decisions about what goes on in the real world ? Most importantly, who HIRED them and so should be held liable also ? The "chain-of-command" always seems to disappear when the crap hits the fan.

5) Let JPPOs do what the Childrens' Code has allowed them to do: Put their eyes and ears back on the street where they belong and treat them as professionals not data entry personnel, who, if they are not o the street, with some level of authority, simply have no data to enter.

CPS is NOT CYFD.
This is not Massachusetts, this is New Mexico. Leave the links to what Massachusetts social workers are doing to issues in Massachusetts. Blame Mitt Romney for that, and if anything, it's more proof why we don't need Romney anywhere near the White House!
Psychology is not a degree designed for social work. CYFD requires Bachelors and Masters degrees in SOCIAL WORK, not Psychology.
There is a disconnect in your own mind, and I think you're the mental psych major.

CYFD has employees that are worse than the people they are employed to check up on. They are caught doing wrong and are put on suspended leave with pay. What crap! What about that Justina Romero that was caught giving underage kids liquor and drugs? What did they do to her? Nothing. The parents of the underage kids should have raised hell, but they didn't. They should fire these kind of employees on the spot when they have the evidence that they are doing wrong.

What about all the others that spend their time in the bars drinking and carousing with everyone. They are CYFD workers and should have ethics because of their type of work, but they don't. The people in charge don't care what type of employees they have. For the few stupid employees they have, all pay.

From what is happening out there all the time, shootings and innocent people getting hurt, who knows with CYFD. They hurt so many people that one of these days something like that will happen to them. GOD willing I hope not. But the way they treat people who knows.

I am 16 and in CYFD custody at the moment. I have been in a shelter for almost a month now; even though i was told that i was only gunna be on a 48 hour hold. its been a long 48 hours for me. i was told that i could go live with my sister but now supposedly she has a "record" even though she has court papers saying that she doesn't they still wont let me go with her. They say its my dads choice of where i go but im already 16 so i think i should get to choose. no? Well my CYFD officers has been "investigating" but its already been this long and not a single thing has changed. I just wanna go home with my sister where i feel safe, protected, cared about, and loved......but CYFD says no :( they also say that i cant switch my CYFD officer. is that true???? well if anyone knows anyone or anything that can help me please comment and help me. i just wanna go home is that too much to ask for. i wont even be home for christmas instead ill be in a stupid shelter :(

I heard that there are several kids in Albuquerque that are homeless. Where is CYFD when they are needed? Yet they take kids out of their own homes to put them in foster care, kids that already have homes. I don't know what this world is coming to. CYFD sucks totally.

Audit in Sf, showed in 2006, there were over 80+ in the SFPSS that were ,and they lived on the streets, friends houses, flop houses, and traded sex for a place to stay.

CYFD does nothing, or goes after parents, or waits and puts them in jail when they are hungry and steal for food.

CPS and CYFD are terrorism, not for help.

We could give the kid's the $40k per person for incarceration, and they could get a apt, food, and education, without a hitch.

Why does it exist?

a few CPS workers are legit, there are many that get into CPS for a job. Some do it to really help kids. I was fortunate to get one worker who cared.
I was in the office waiting for an interview and this Loud Black CYFD Worker peeped in and went on to talk loudly to another CYFD worker. Seems to me they are one big Joke. the Worker I had was very helpful in guiding me through the system. Others are just Jokes. Some are Big, and just there to rake in the Big Bucks.
