Governor, can we get some solar panels for the new Convention Center here in Las Cruces? If they heat their own water and pay their own light bill, we could save a bundle.

If the Richardson had a heart he would furlough himself for two days per month that would save a total of $8500 per month.

Furloughs aren't a bad idea.

Employees can be given a choice: "Cut your hours and keep your job"........OR.......... stand in the unemployment line HOPING that your benefits will keep you afloat until you find a new job. Given the fact the Federal and State Govt are short on funds, I think it would be a NO-BRAINER.

People who are self-employed don't enjoy such an option in this economy.

The bottom line is that EVERYONE is faced with a "New Reality", and we ALL need to keep the "Cattle-Prod" on the butts of our political representatives.

Did anyone notice that state services did not degrade at all as a result of furloughs this year?
