Two Residents, Two Firefighters Injured in Blaze - WGHP

Two residents and two firefighters were injured in a blaze at a home late Sunday night.

Christina and Paul were in the kitchen cooking, they did not leave it unattended. They tried several times to put out the fire. The grease fire started while Christina was preparing to fry chicken. They placed a lid on the pan and it exploded sending grease and flames all over the place. They tried several times to put it out. Paul ran to get his cell phone to call for help and was trapped inside. Christina and the dogs were able to make it out. The fire spread really fast. It is very sad and please continue to keep them in your thoughts.

Hi my name is Jessie and I live in the Northoaks subdivison and we were there the night it happened. My husband and I prayed as we watched the firefighters and emergency crews work so hard to just get them out and try to save the house. Everyday that picture in my head has haunted me and I have not been able to hear any updates on Paul and Christina and I have been so worried. I don't know them but we have been praying for them and if you have any updates at all, please let me know. Thank you for your time and for your claification on what happened. Jessie
