legalize it and tax it thus saving $millions by not having to incarcerate, They also could probably lay off 20 % of the police.

Well, THAT should be expensive to house all those inmates.

Another "victory." Any word how this affects the DEMAND for drugs? How about how it will aid people in receiving drug counseling if they need it? Does this mean that dealers will start to card and not sell to kids? How can one have a "victory" without any progress?? 40 years is enough. The "drug war" has failed time and time again.

I am not a heartless individual, however, I do feel when someone gets caught in a drug bust for either selling or making drugs, they ought to be killed immediately which is far more compassionate and humane, than the death they offer the Meth addicts they supply drugs to, which turns out to be a long torturous death.

You wouldn't be saying this if one of your beloved relatives was doing drugs.

Not every drug is Meth, and treating them all the same is ridiculous.
Please, start going to liquor stores and "offing" the proprietors. See how that goes. It is a drug that is similar in its destructive nature to Meth.(Only is socially acceptable and generates oodles and oodles of tax revenue for unscrupulous politicians to fight over.)

Pot should at the very least be decriminalized. During the Bush admin arrests for pot possession increased 40% and up. While meth, cocaine and heroin stayed the same and heroin is easier to get and usage has increased since 2002. I myself have not seen this amount of heroin use in this country since 1986. Illegal and legal use of prescription drugs do more damage than pot. The increased war on pot is just part of the war on the middle class. So many users, so many more easy arrests and more easy gov't revenue to collect and easy profits for auto insurance companies. Also job loss and trouble finding a job with a possession charge on your record, that's the real damage. Drugs are not a criminal issue, they are a health issue. And to "Kill em now", others also had that view, they were called Nazis and they played a crucial role in meth. They created it. Have you heard of the "Nazi method" of making meth? You are the problem with this country not pot.

Yes Bill, those resources could be used to arrest corrupt politicians. The real problem with this country for the last 40 years.

Tell the pharma companies to stop stocking the shelves with the drugs meth is made from in Tiajuana and Juarez Mexico 44 pharmicies per sq mile stocked to the gills w/ Sudafed. Kill the CEO's of that company and you will kill the real pusher. It's amazing how stupid Americans have become.
