This is true, you can be drunk and still be not at fault, PA, it happened to my girlfriend, she crossed a double line, the kid in the car was oui, with no license, to boot, and she was charged with lane violations, him, driving oui, and no license, but was not charged with the accident, true story.<quoted text>
I hate to burst your bubble but the law says whoever was drunk. Just like if I hit you and your uninsured its your fault you shouldn't have been driving. So if the drunk driver wasn't on the road this possibly could've been avoided.
Man you must be the same dummy trying to convince people that cigarettes are harmless. Hey everyone let's grab a six pack and a pack of smokes and hit the road, its completely safe!

Nope, see for yourself. Saturday, July 05 WILLIAMSTOWN — A head-on collision late yesterday afternoon left one man dead and a Pittsfield man airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. According to police reports, Thomas Peckham, 31, of Pittsfield, was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche south on Simonds Road (Route 7), just south of the Vermont state line. A northbound 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Albert E. Dickenson, 45, of North Attleborough, left the northbound lane and struck Peckham's truck at about 4:37 p.m. Two Life Flight helicopters were summoned to the scene. The Jaws of Life had to be used to get both men out of their vehicles. Dickenson died as a result of his injuries. Two passengers in Dickenson's vehicle were uninjured. The crash investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction unit. — Scott Stafford |
Thanks, I read the article, I was being a smartass because someone posted saying that the man that crossed over was drunk. People need to stop jumping to conclusions untill the facts are out on the table and untill it is put in the paper that he was drunk, people should shut up!!!! |
|
And how the hell would you know this? The article didn't say that he was, so why are you jumping to conclusions? Grow up and have some respect. Wait for the facts before you run your mouth |
|
|
as i said before, my friend witnessed the entire accident and his daughters told the police their father drank too much! i did not jump to any conclusions! i had first hand evidence! and did the transcript say his young daughters were the passengers???? i dont think so! get a clue and read before you speak!

I am with several of you who have voiced their displeasure at the cruel and disrespectful people who post on this section. Some of the unecessary comments at victims, political office, law enforcement and just plain stupid comments in general shows that these people ave nothing etter to do. If they think they are funny maybe one should try stand up or record a comedic album. However no matter how stupid these comments are I find fault also in the Eagle for not monitoring the posts that are submitted. The Eagle should read the agreement policy they've instituted and screen such garbage. ut then again the Eagle only prints garbage ayway

I am not believing anything that is said untill it comes out in the paper, nothing was said about him being drunk therefore I am not gonna beleve that he was untill something is put in the paper about it!!!!! |

because the media always has it right! that's funny! i will give you an example about how wrong the media is, and i didnt beleive it until i saw it first hand! last January, my friends son was burned in a fire at his mothers house. to make a long story short, the media portrayed the mother as the woman of the year, she never had custody of him, nor ever took care of him! after he was burned, in her care i will add, she held several fund raisers, and put cans around in local stores to "benefit" him. Well you should all be proud, yes this was in North Adams, you all contributed to her drug addiction! He was treated at Shriners hospital, which provides free care, and his father, received nothing that she "endorsed". There were few fund raisers that they received money from, however, the media played it up, and the mother got her drugs, even though the money was for medical expenses! She has since given up all rights to see him! thank god for that! and thank you the media, for making reality into fantasy!
