A certain ethic group of alleged Organized Crime figures, a syndicate, not of Italian Descent reportedly owned "Gentlemen's" clubs in Hartford.

They weren't raided and shut down as other non-[ethnic label snipped by this author] for committing the same type of pandering, drug, gambling, loan sharking, protection rackets, sports betting, prostitution, and other criminal activities, as were other individuals and businesses committing the same crimes.

If a bar that let's say has country line dancing in a town such as Southington Connecticut and the owner isn't in with Connecticut Organized Crime (and their official friends) and doesn't know who to bribe on the Liquor Commission, that bar owner can be set up for police informants to lose his or her freedom, bar establishment, and home.

If Blumenthal had any ethics would he have allegedly given former law partners millions of dollars in no bid contracts?

If you don't have friends that are relatives of 3 original ethnic Organized Crime Syndicated from the late 1800's you can't be on the money train the rest of the Blue Blood Elite in Connecticut are. If you get in their way you better like beatings, false arrests, rigged trials, and prison.

Hey people, sex is here to stay.
If these stores did not turn a profit, they would not exist. Let's not go back to the middle ages
again. Bad reference cause
sex was rampant then.
Want a big hit? Ban it in
Boston! As long as only adults involved. What's the problem? After all the businesses that were lost or moved, I would think we would welcome any extra tax dollars.
Mr. Blumenthal you are a buck short and 15 years too late.

Anyone that uses "adult" sex as an issue, has a problem
I've seen the new VIP in Manchester (former ritzy home furnishings
place) and it is not gawdy or out there. If you visit, you know
exactly what to expect. Is that a crime? Hell some people really
enjoy getting sexy and exploring. I say good for them.

What came first. The MAFIA, the BOYS IN THE HOOD, THE CHICANOS,
or sex? I rest my case. Julius Ceasar made more money from
parties and brothels than we'll ever know. He charged people to
attend his gatherings and beheaded those that did not. Frankly,
I'd rather a romp than a beheading! The enthinicity of the host is not
important. I'll agree there is a bias today. But who feeds that bias?

I hope the state wins this battle. The Berlin Tpke already has too many sleazy sex oriented businesses.

D*ck wants to eradicate CT of all of these types of stores? What other types of businesses does he not like? Maybe the liquor stores are next.

Hopefully the state does NOT win this battle. This is supposed to be a free country.

Indeed! The very sorts who struggle with spelling, grammar, punctuation, number agreement, use of the superlative; these low characters are easy to spot with their soiled trench coats and mitre tassels draped on the wrong side. And while some Master's candidates can be mistaken in amognst that shameful, shaggy-palmed fray, one may rest assured that the only program from which they will graduate is in baiting.

Do we live in America? Last time I checked customers choose to enter stores such as VIP. The people who shop are just everyday people you find at any grocery store, gas station ect..Hey I bet even these very people who are opposing it make up their best customers. What else can the state step into and bann next? This is crazy. They have the right to set up shop and sell goods and you states and towns people have the right not to go. Mr. Blumenthal and you people from the town of Berlin do you want to tell us:
1.) Where to shop?
2.) What to eat?
3.) If it's ok to have sex
4.) How many times a week we can have sex
5.) What position to use during sex?
6.) What to watch?
7.) Do you say it bad to use a vibrator so we should not use

COME ON! THIS IS AMERICA WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE FOR OUR SELVES. IF AMERICANS DIDNT WANT ADULT MATERIALS AND PORNO THESE BUSINESSES WOULD NOT EXIST.

Mr. Blumenthal GET A LIFE!
The VIP stores are classy, clean, and fun. I enjoy going to VIP after dinner with my husband of 32 years. We are still together and never became bored with one another because we are not afriad of these type of stores. I go for his birthday, Xmas, Valentines day, just because and our Anniv.

DONT YOU HAVE BETTER THINGS TO SPEND OUR TAX DOLLARS ON. I WISH YOU RIGHT OUT OF YOUR ELECTED POSITION:)

He can't. He looks and acts like Skelator, but without the pizzazz. He's a sour rictus puss. He's the soggy blanket at every party.
