They were saying that our kids were inattentive, disruptive and (according to them) showed all the classic signs of all the other ADD/ADHD children in the schools. I was military and lived all over the country, we experienced this at every elementary school.
One distinct episode rings this bell loud and clear: While at the military hospital, getting the school physicals, there was a mile long line out the peds office, all kids (with parents in tow)waiting for their ADHD referral papers. The attendant asked dad 'What can we do for you today?' Dumbfounded, he looks down at his 10 year old daughter. She says 'Dad, were here to get that Ritalin.' The attendant again asks dad, what prescription dosage do you need? Again he looks at his kid, she tells him....the story goes on. This loser dad had absolutely no clue, the line was full of moms and dads with the typical deer in the headlight look on their faces. It was rediculous.
Bottom line, our children were all bright, bored with the curriculun and were not being challenged...period!
After countless years of dealing with that crap, we pulled our kids out of public school and home schooled them. Each of them (all 5 of them) excelled beyond description! My 23 y/o son graduated at 16 years old and is finished his 4 year degree at 20 years of age, years ahead of his ritalen/stratera/concerta peers. My next 2 graduated early, both are in college. My youngest is on the same path. All of then earned academic scholarships.
Moral here is this:
Parents need to be in tune with their children. God made them exactly as he intended them to be, it's not our place to drug them into submission so they they fit into some subjective mold. If they are having problems at school, at home or socially, the answer isn't in a bottle, it all starts at home.

If you disagree, why not look after my ADHD boy for a week then come back and tell me that there is no such thing as ADHD - you are sadly mistaken.

Why your child is diagnosed with the bogus ADD / ADHD and other disabilities

One of the purposes of the US Department of Education along with the Department of Disability is to administer the programs for the (FAPE) "Free Appropriate Public Education
for Students With Disabilities" and the requirements Under Section 504 of
The Rehabilitation Act, along with the Special Education and rehabilitative services under the program "IDEA"

The programs (FAPE and IDEA) under the Department of Education are abused (imo) by the pharmaceutical and the mental health and counseling industry in that the Department of Disability and the Department of Education pays for each child diagnosed with a disability which included ADD / ADHD, Bi-Polar, Depression and other mental illnesses. The more children diagnosed with a mental disorder, the more money the State board of Education would receive under the (IDEA - FAPE) programs from the Department of Disability. This in turn, was and is the incentive for compromising millions of normal children with false mental health diagnoses and is the reason for "Teen Screen" today.

It's trickle down economic to the pharmaceutical and mental health and counseling industry and includes the monetary rewards of the State School Districts.

If a parent objected to the misleading diagnoses, tagging or drugging of their child the (CPS) "Child Protective Services" would usually charge the Parent with Child Neglect and remove the child from the family home and place the child in foster-care (another racket where the child would be drugged without parental authority and child support would be garnished from wages of the parents, if any, for foster-care expenses). The parents often would require legal service (money) to get their child back home and court judgments usually ended up with the child being forced into pharmaceutics (mind) drugs and the family being monitored by the CPS and having a mental health evaluation including probation for the parents.

It's a dirty deal of money and greed at the cost of compromising a child's mental stability and a family.(Don't think that politicians aren't in on this scheme)

(Remember there is no test for a chemical imbalance of the brain)

It's plain and clear. You don't have to read between the lines: Too much government documentation on IDEA and the fact that the American Psychiatric Association admitted that there is no test for chemical imbalance but lied to the public is convincing evidence.

ADHD does not technically exist. Don't give the kids sugar or processed foods and only provide them with steamed carrots and they'll no longer have misplaced energy. If a child has excess get them a racetrack.

Children should not be medicated for such things. We have know idea what these medications will do to them in their future..... There are ways to work around the meds....I suffer from ocd and have for many years (another thing they try to medicate) I know from experience that you have to train your mind and your actions, no medicine can do that for you. The medication is a temperary fix.

All who think ADHD is not real are idiots and should feel stupid for saying so. I have a son who takes medication for it and it WORKS! When your child can not stop twitching and squirming during a conversation or you feel his heart while he is watching TV and it is beating like he is running a marathon, you know what I am talking about. It has nothing to do with poor parenting or thier diet. Sometimes I wish the non believers could live with it for a few months.

You people who think that kids dont need medications to keep them acting right, you must not have a child with add or adhd. My son is very active, agressive, and mean he had the cops at my house three times by the time he was six. For getting into fights at school and hitting people. I have had him to every person I could think of. He did very poorly at school he would not do any work at all and barely made it out of Kindergarden. Ever since I put my son on meds his work has been awsome and he is very socialable now. To the person who work at the school the way you talk I am glad you didnt work at my kids school.
