I am shocked that the BART workers are actually on strike to receive a 15% raise divided by three years in this time of sequestraion and 15-20% unemployment rate nationwide. Civil federal employees have had thier salaries frozen since January 2010 and most people are just plain happy to have a job during "The Great Recesion". I can only assume that when they get their slary increase the thousandsof riders they are refusing to serve will foot the bill.
