Don't tell the people that like the warm and fuzzy feeling laws & bans that tougher laws won't work. They'll have an aneurysm.

Bottom line ws this guy was saving "face"; a cultural issue.

If not a gun, a knife, a hammer, or a car into a crowd....

If you attend a school or college you need to carry a weapon to defend yourself too. Police arenít securing the Gun Free Zones like they should.

In California, Gun Free Zones only refer to 12th grade and below. However, it is a felony to bring a gun to a college.

This college was a small private for profit college; it wasn't even on anybody's radar... Not even sure if the latter applies...

The Akihabara massacre comes to mind. How about the Sarin gas attacks. Murders don't happen with guns only.

Same issues come to mind. The real Japanese murder rate is about twice the reported rate; unlike the U.S., Japan does not count an attempt to injure, but which accidentally causes death, as a homicide. The F.B.I. also over-counts American murders, by listing the 1,500 - 2,500 legal, self- defense fatal shootings of criminals as illegal homicide. Still, Japan's actual homicide rate is two to three times lower than the U.S. rate. but, I have to ask what has Japan have to do with US gun laws?

They also live in 5 by 5 apartments ride bicycles to work and eat rice and raw fish and have very little say in their government or have many human rights. I guess those things aren't important. If you are going to compare two cultures at least compare all, not just the parts that support your bull.
