Use the racial card and you will be rewarded. Don't even think about applying for a Green Card. I know a lot of men who have been using Flomax and she could have had that from a pharmacy. What a hoax!

SHe was awarded $200k. Hello IJ readers most law firms get 33% from a pre-trial settlement, but this was after trial, they charge 40-50%! The lady probably received $110-120k for her misery. Plus the grocery chain will never hire her again. HMMM making 25 a hour, that 25-30k a year plus benefits. She will never get this with her attorney prize!

$200K sounds like a wee bit much of a settlement.

Why are so many racist haters allowed to continually post here and why does the IJ not get a intern to monitor all the creepy low life racist hate filled posts and delete them?

The Albertsons store in Fairfax closed in 2006. Oh what a pity they closed they so sucked and their treatment of this woman sucked too.

The IJ would have to hire 10 interns to monitor all of the hatred exhibited here.

Well you should be easy to make happy, stay out of Fairfax, we have enough loons walking around as it is. That means no Deer Park walks, no wonderful watershed walks, no cascade waterfalls - in short just pound pavement in San Rafael and leave us in peace.

Having worked for Lucky's, pre-Albertson's, 18 years ago or so, this story doesn't surprise me in the least. Unless you worked for places like this, at that time, most people have NO idea of the crap that took place in these stores. I had been hospitalized for one day for severe dehydration requiring an IV, missing ONE day of work. When I came back the next day, hospital note in hand, I was told by Joe Abinanti, the manager, "well, I have a business to run". Not, "are you ok?" , as most human beings would do. AND, he claimed to be a minister. A man of God. ha ha ha ha!

That Albertson's manager was a witch. Regardless or not whether she knew the lady was sick, she put her off for a half hour. What truck takes a half hour to unload, anyway? If there was a problem with the load, she could have called the courtesy clerk to babysit the truck and driver for 5 friggin' minutes, no problem. Boo hoo if the driver didn't like it.

....you're a typical Union employee who wants all the great benefits, and still wants someone to coddle you. Suck it up....business is business!

Citizen X is missing the point or prefers to ignore the fact that the anonymity provided by the comment venue from people in the "United States", is simply his way of gutlesly spreading hate. Since when do so many people read the IJ across the country? Can you say network of hate mongers.

I'm right here in Marin chump. We have a First Amendment which you and I can use as we see fit. The Nazis and the Communists were great at censoring thought that they didn't like...of course as long as they agree with you that's OK. You call "hate" whatever is articulated that disagrees with your opinion. When 19 out of twenty commentators is against something, that's not "hate" but is Democracy.
IF you send your kids to San Rafael Public Schools and or live in the Canal District, then I'll respect your opinion a little more.

Yeah, death and taxes, or perhaps your real name is Ebenezer Scrooge. He had a business to run. And my excellent record and work ethic, recognized by the previous managers, helped him do it, along with all the other hard-working employees. Because, god forbid, an employee get sick. Of course, that's one reason unions were created in the first place, so that an employee wouldn't be fired because they were hospitalized and missed a day of work.
