And this is from an area known for green living, recycling and all? If the food was wasted it goes against what those supposedly live by. If not it was a health risk unless done in a cooler.

On "any given Sunday" a football-field long maki (sushi roll) might be too much for my house, barely... but I'm sure they could find enough takers on a University of California campus so that it wouldn't go to waste. And sushi isn't "done in a cooler" - the ingredients are kept fresh until the sushi is made (in front of you or in the kitchen - either way at room temperature), then it's eaten immediately afterwards. Go to any local sushi restaurant for yourself to witness this in person. I'm guessing it'll be your first time... or you wouldn't say something so ridiculous about the "health risk unless done in a cooler". You really don't know squat about sushi, do you? Admit it, you just thought you saw an opportunity to make some snide comments about "an area known for green living, recycling and all". |
