Finnegan is one of those people that simply can not accept responsibility for his own shortcomings and uses the legal system to wedge himself a place in society. I had to evict him and he tried to sue me for $5,000 for unspecified damages. The judge in that case admonished him for not acknowledging or presenting the rental agreement, so he sued his roommate over the phone bill. He just doesn't get it and I'll likely get sued for saying so.

HAHAHAHA! Crazy Finny strikes back! I particularly enjoy him defending his childish behavior by saying "but, everyone else does it". Unfit to be a prosecutor. This guy calls himself a man? Bullying females. I never read about any cases this moron took to jury trials. How many jury trials has he handled anyway? ANY murder cases? This Butter Bean mini-me needs to go away already.

Well knowing 5 of the folks in the article I have to say the mediator made the right call. If Brian Newman is th ebest person you can have come to your defense then you are in trouble.

I believe that Lintott supported the forming of the Union. I also heard that when Lintott was running for DA that Finnegan was sneaking her into his office at the courthouse and trying to groom her for a promotion. When Ravitch came in Finnegan went on the attack! Hey Finnegan if you need a job, my toilet is clogged with all of your fliers I flushed.

That Finnigan is admired by his colleagues is a bit of an overstatement. Everyone in the DA's office expected they would be in charge when Lintott was elected. They were drunk with self-delusions of omnipotence after they went on strike. They were disappointed. But those are his colleagues: Deputy DA's. Please do not confuse his "colleagues" with anyone NOT in the District Attorney's office.

Time for Finnegan to drop out of the race. Many cops are supporting him and it doesn't look to good for them to be hitchin' their rope to his post.

Why isn't this story written by county employee Thomas Hine who drags everything he disapproves of across the pages of UDJ for money? His county job places him in the perfect position for another of burst of his opinions of what is right, wrong, good, bad or profitable. Or do we have to await the process of alowing him to backstab people weeks later as TWKr after he has been paid county funds to work with them? Poor staff usage by UDJ here. Closing the libraries would probably solve the problems these lawyers are talking about.

Explain this: if Lintott was out to get Finnegan for his union activities, then why did she promote him to a DA IV, the highest level, shortly after she took office?

And if Lintott is vindictive, why did she choose Steve Jackson to be honored as prosecutor of the year?

The fact is, Finnegan thought he should be the Cheif Deputy, and he couldn't handle it that the much more experienced and qualified woman was chosen. The relationship went bad after she hired Ravitch.

Matt, that is the attitude that got you fired to begin with. Another thing, if you are not wanted, why sue to get your job back? Do you really want to work for Lintott, or are you unable to get a job elsewhere? Seems like you never stick anywhere for long.

Reality bites. You can only run from yourself for so long, until you catch yourself! I agree...Finnegan thinks he 8be the Chief Deity....I mean Chief Deputy. He was given a chance to perform. The rules were even changed to give him a chance!
His lack of reality definitely has made up my mind. Now I know Lintott has been taxed with putting up with these Bozos. I am glad the public can see more what goes on behind the scenes. Maybe it will give a little more appreciation of what she has to deal with.

This article shows that Finnegan and Lintott haven't been the professionals they were hired to be. Both have behaved poorly, to put it mildly. To think we've been paying these people all this time to act immature and childish. Being unprepared, ignoring witnesses, and calling women filthy names? Shame on you, Finnegan. How much did your appeal cost the taxpayers? Pay it back. And now the best you can do is get your union buddies to throw poison back at Meredith? Talk about a snake pit. Time for a good spring cleaning of the DA's Office. Sorry Meredith, you need to swept out also. You've lost my vote this time around.

It seems to me that Lintott is trying to smear Matt Finnegan's name in this DA race. Besides Matt who else would have know that Finnegan lost his civil service case?

Based on what I am reading here, Finnegan is the ONLY candidate for DA who has not stooped to anonymous mud-slinging on the local newspaper boards!
