I think every one should learn that violets is not the answer no matter what may be the problem. Paretns need to talk more to they kids about problems that they are haveing at school are at home. Kids need to be more open with thier parents if they are haveing problems are they need to talk with some body that can help them kids should not be runing around with gun's in the first place. They need a new law about haveing guns are they need to stop letting people buy them are do something. But it's sad what happen to Alencia I don't no her are anything like that but my heart go's out to the family to thier lost one. May god bless her sole and she can rest in peace.

This is truly a sad story and something I worry about when my teenagers are walking home from school. I can't imagine this mother finding her daughter in the hallway of their home and seeing how she struggled for her life. My family will pray for you and your family. Things are getting out of control in this world.

I really feel for the family. It is very hard to be able to deal with something this horrific. My prayers and blessings go out to the family in this time of need.

BECAUSE SHE FELT LIKE IT..... ND IS NONE OF UR BUSINESS ANYWAY Actually, it's because she lived on the other side of Empire...she's an "Oakley Orphan" and part of the Antioch school system. But that's another issue....

This message is for all of the people of the world "Yes violence is not the answer, but how is one to know when not to be friendly and when not to trust someone. I am a distant member of the family and I know for a fact that Danita King is a wonderful person and great mother she raised all of kids to be respectful and honorable. Now in the case of the young man my heart tells me that he did this because he was infatuated with her and she just wasn't interested and he wasn't able to except no for an answer. My Question would be to his parents what were they thinking to leave this young man unattended knowing that he was unstable. If it was my child he would have had someone caring for him until I return. Wouldn't You.

WILLIE wrote: IF SHE LIVED IN OAKLEY WHY WAS SHE GOING TO SCHOOL IN ANTIOCH? Any kids who live on the other side of Empire are not in Oakley's school district. They are in the Antioch School District, therefore, they must attend Antioch Schools.(Even though it isn't convenient for the families.)

Violets are not the answer!! I know, I know. This is not a laughing matter but, that is how I deal people! If I wasn't laughting I'd be crying at such a sad loss. And Erin, although your heart was in the right place, I think you meant to refer to her soul and not her sole. Fish is not the answer!!

Most people who live in Oakley CA go to other schools in the area depending on what there interest are. Maybe the school in Antioch---Deer Valley High School had more to offer in terms of academics, dance etc.
