Hammer attack forces Oakland to revisit weapons law

City leaders are reconsidering a proposal that would make it illegal to carry makeshift weapons, such as hammers, at protests after a downtown restaurant worker was struck in the face by a hammer-wielding vandal during a protest Monday.

Imagine that, a hammer attack. How is anything gonna be built after the government confiscates all hammers?

"Makeshift Weapons" ???? What a joke. I and many people can take someone out with a piece of paper..........

Oakland needs to focus on their people's behavior.

Oakland City Council is clueless..........
