By the Numbers: The Race for Governor in New Jersey

Full story: CBS News

As it heads into the final weeks, many publicly-released polls show a fairly tight race now between incumbent Democratic Governor Jon Corzine , and Republican Chris Christie, center, with some showing independent candidate Chris Daggett, right, making a strong showing in double-digits. It does not matter how bad Corzine was and how he pushed the State of New Jersey to bankruptcy of 8 billion dollars, highest 10% unemployment in the North Eastern US and highest taxes in North America, the labor Union parasites will vote for Corzine for the salary raises that he gave them during the recession when the private sector is firing employees and falling apart.
The labor Union members believe that Corzine will continue to bring new taxes and apply new tolls on the people of New Jersey so that he will give them pension and free healthcare for life as award for voting for him while most of New Jersey people do not have basic benefits.
It is the corrupt politician Corzine who purchases the votes of the Union members by promising them salary raises by increasing property and state taxes on the people of New Jersey.
In addition Corzine is avid supporter of Obama healthcare scam that will leave the elderly and sick New Jersians with painkillers and without medical procedures because they cost too much to the Obama communistic regime.
The Corzine-Obama cooperation against the private medical healthcare including unionizing the doctors that will continue to be sued with frivolous law suits by the corrupt lawyers and cutting budgets to the pharmaceutical companies' new drug development.
Corzine will destroy the NJ healthcare private system and will put the people of New Jersey under the Corzine's unions with the so called 'death panels' for the elderly and the sick.
New Jersey deserve better than the corrupt liberal communist Corzine that will convert NJ to 'Cuba style' state under labor union rule welfare state.

The trouble is not only has Corzine ruined the state, Christie might ruin it even more. Why? He's at least as corrupt as Corzine is. Furthermore, he wants to reject the federal stimulus, a rejection which does not appeal to me as an Obama Republican and which will make it more difficult for the state to recover from the recession. Look, budget cuts can only go so far. In order for the economy to grow, SOMEONE IS GOING TO HAVE TO INCREASE HIS OR HER BUDGET SOMEWHERE. Economic activity is oriented around spending and production. Spin it anyway you want, but someone's still going to have to spend more in order for the economy to grow.

Corzine and Daggett are not helping matters either by pledging budget cuts. Dagget has the advantage of not really being corrupt, unlike the two major party candidates, and I am leaning in favor of either Daggett or Corzine.

I'm worried that NJ might see 15% unemployment under Christie and 12% under Corzine (and, oh, perhaps 13% under Daggett).

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
