Does anyone no cost, or if they take insurance? I heard Strauss was running it and only taking male patient's. Doesn't sound like he could jus see men. Thanks, if anyone has been there fill me in on the info.

I know tht there is one in Richmond ran by Strauss's old partner Robertson Ward. I'm not really sure of the name. I know its very expensive, plus the cost of the meds. I am currently in the methadone clinic in Lexington and they also are a Suboxone clinic. They have a set cost per week which includes the pills. Highly recommend it! Hope this helps. Lexington Professional Associates is the name of my clinic.

these places are nothing but to make these doctors richer thats what they are.they charge out ragerous fees that no one can afford then have to pay about 9.00 a pill for the medicine. seems to me like they would help since half of them started these addictions to begin with....

Dr. Strauss has a clinic in Berea, but it is a male only clinic. You can search Dr. John Stauss on the internet to find out why.

and the law goes after the street dealers, who are mostly addicted themselves and dealing to get more of what they need, too, and I know that is the policeman's job. but how come they don't shut these dang quack doctors down who are dealing too? the higher up officials in the law business should be taking care of that, but no, it's perfectly fine and legal for these quacks to deal dope, grrrr.....

You guys are ridiculous. Doc Strauss has literally saved my life. I went to 4 rehab places and none of them worked out until I started going to him. He is the first and only doctor that has ever sat down with me for an hour every week to talk about my problems, how to deal with them and just overall make my life better. Yes its $100 a week but that's cheap as hell compared to still being addicted to pills and dieing from it. I have insurance so that covers my suboxone costs but without I do agree it would cost a lot of money. I've been seeing him for over a year now and for the first time in four years have also been sober that long. So don't dare start bad mouthing a doctor for coming into a community and saving lives like he is doing. He does have some accusations against him for some things that may or may not have happened in the past but for him to be brave enough to stand up and fight for his community still shows me he really cares about his business and his patients.

I can only speak for myself here, but I love Dr. Strauss. He has been my(family) doctor ever since he came to this town. I have worked for him for several years. He has always been a caring person. I think the biggest problem is cultural differences. He loves his patients and some take it too personal. I have never seen anything out of line of this man. He is too friendly as far as hugging his patients. I am sure there are those that would love to see him fail. I too agree with this mob person. It has taken alot for him to stay in our community after what others have accused him of. I personally can't say it is true or not true. I am not here to pass judgement on anyone. I just know he has been really good to me and my family. Even made a few house calls with him myself. Never seen nothing out of line of him. Just a caring person that seen more of his patients than just money they brought in. I have always heard "if someone was always spoke good of, beware." You can't please everybody.

Dr Strauss has saved my life. A year ago I was praying for death!! Things got even worse when I lost my job (it was only thing I had). Jon helped me get life straight and today (12/31) I've got 1 semester under my belt and am EXCITED about next semester. Dr Strauss cared when I didn't!

Just saw this and I am so tired of addicts that are still popping methadone/suboxone and calling it being "sober""...bein g clean and sober would be going without having to see anyone at any suboxone/methadone clinic, and learning to deal with life on life's terms. How is taking a controlled substance, that is addictive, being "sober"> You can put lipstick on a turd, but it is still a turd.

Getting these people of the street and off the street drugs is being clean and sober, they are doing it step by step, day by day.Just as any other clean person would.Think you are jealous.Leave them be.Don't tear down the wall that they are just getting built back up.

Agree! If you take subs or methadone you are not clean!!!!!!!!!! People say that subs don't get u high that's bull shit! I went to Strauss for a while and got more addicted to subs than any thing and withdrawls from them are way worse!! I think these clinics are kinda like how in California you can get a marijuana card and be a legal pot head, you can go to a sub clinic and be a legal pill head. And also I know people thats been goin to sub clinics for 5 years straight how the hell is that gettin clean! Switching from one drug to another thats it.
