I have been hearing alot abot Bob Davenport. I was wondering if his Dad worked in Clay County around 25 years ago. There was a guy named Bob Davenport [but I am not sure it was spelled the same] that painted for 2 or 3 years around the area. He painted alot of advertisement signs and barns, but he could do anything, letter trucks, painting of sceneries, people etc. He also could play music. I was just wondering whatever happened to him. We were good friends.

Yes, the guy that painted the signs and so on was bobbys daddy. His name was also bob. I have known them for many many years. In which I miss them all very much. Wish the family wouldnt have moved to richmond 10 or 11 years ago, or it may have been longer. I was friends with there daughter, best friends at that. We grew up together, and she was a sister to me. The davenports are good people. I wish they would move back to manchester.

Yeah, my dad's pretty cool,:)

My grandpa is the one who did the painting and the Davenport who got killed in the car wreck was my aunt Michelle. Dad's sister. Her two girls Ashley and Heather are the two Hinkle girls that kick butt at basketball. We all live in Richmond now.

He's hooked me up quite a bit when he worked for RS Guitarworks in Winchester he got me an all access pass from Keith from Buckcherry himself, I talked to him on the phone, got some awesome Aerosmith stuff after he helped refinish Joe Perry's guitar. He works for a company he created now though, you can check out his website at www.bluecollarguitarparts.com .

He's good at what he does, he builds them too, and tons of more stuff.

Thanks for talking about my dad :) I'm very proud!

AND I have a feeling "Bird" that you better stop using childhood nicknames, hahaha. Love you, lulu the giggle box.

just to let u know man, its called a relic, its somethin that normal guys like us started doing, just like buyin a pair of name brand pants, already beat to hell, and in case u havent noticed, even fender has their own line of road worn or reliced guitars now, but i guess ppl like bob dont use their minds at all, just the biggest companies do it, not a guy like bob..man, he's built guitars for richie sambora for God sake, in case u dont know who that is, he's the lead/rhythm/backup vocals for BON JOVI, only one of the biggest bands in history...but i guess u probably already knew that...Britt u guys need to get down here this summer, hope to see u at gracies...

I remember your Grandmother really good.I was good friends with her.She worked in town at a grocery store and on her lunch break she would come in this restaraunt were I worked at and I would sit down with her and talk.Your Daddy and Grandpa would come and eat with her sometimes.I don't want to put my name on here but I think she will remember me.I was really young then.Tell all of them I said hello.

Richie Sambora is "slightly above average" at best when it comes to playing the guitar. He will NEVER be on the same playing level as Steven Vai or David T. Chastain.
