Atempting to -make- someone jealous I suppose could be considered witchcraft.

Anyway, I am just interested in who might be practicing locally and what disipline (Wicca
Witta, Pagan, Neo-pagan, Gardnerian, Alexandrian
etc...)

I know a few people that really believe in it. I have tons of books on all the different types. What did you have in mind?

Nothing in particular. I was just wondering who all is interested; Passively or otherwise. Berea is pretty diverse but when it comes to a topic such as this - mostly folks will only, generally speaking, talk about it anonymously.

I ran into a couple of wiccan's at Berea College not too long ago. I'm sure there are more around though.

I have never actally tried any of it, but it does interest me. Like I said I have tons of books on all aspects of it. I just havent really taken the time to sit and read them, I have only glanced threw them. Most of the ones I have are more long the line of wicca, but I have some that are on the darker side too, as well as a few others. lol Like I said it interest me

I've practiced the Craft. I don't consider myself a witch, but I've done some spells and rituals. I like the aspects of femininity, nature and symbolism in the Craft. I consider myself a New Testament Christian, but I like aspects of Witchcraft as a sort of seasoning to my beliefs. I pretty much keep it to myself though because I find Berea to be pretty judgmental in areas of religion, among others. This town likes to pretend it's open-minded because of the college and our close proximity to Lexington--but Berea is still just a rural little town in Kentucky. I used to discuss Witchcraft a little more in the past but stopped because of others' ignorance and lack of education on the subject. I prefer to just keep it to myself. The topic seems to bring itself out when the time and the audience is right.

I agree with you, but its not just Berea. Its all over, people are so close minded when it comes to things that they dont know or understand and just want to place judgement. "ignorance and lack of education" you are exactly right.

I was interested in it when i was a teenager. If I knew for sure some of the spells worked, I'd get interested again.

witches do not fly on broomsticks, they do sometime perform ritual dances with sticks. The truth is a broom laid across a doorway will prevent a witch from entering the house. Next time you invite one over try this, it works.

I freely admit that I know very little about any forms of witchcraft, but I find it hard to believe that a christian would participate in any form of witchcraft.

this thread quickly turned into a place for gay Bereans to whine about all the mistreatment they receive from normal people. OH, and please dont reply with your opinion of normal, just stick to the Witch subject and quit your bitchin

just because that you dont believe that it cant happen doesnt mean that it cant.thats your thought on the subject. Everyone has faith in their own way. Judgement like this is why so few people dont want to say that they have a interest in witchcraft or other things that someone might not think is right. There is always going to be someone who thinks that something that you do is wrong, no matter how perfect you try and be. People need to stop placing judgement on others just because they may find something intersting.
