There was a man beat up in the Madison Radison so severly that he is going to have surgery on this shoulder 2 men John Winkler and a monkey named Twiddle pulled this man off the top bunk while he was asleep, he has a dislocated shoulder and several broke ribs and a black eye. The Jail never even contacted this mans family to let them know.

If this mans family was not informed shame on Ron Devere and his devoted staff. How would they feel if it was their family and I am sure their family's are just as imperfect as our family's. I hope and pray that that this man's family seeks the advise of a good lawyer and sue's Ron Devere, Madison County Goverment and The great state of Kentucky. If this man had died would they have bothered to contact the family of this man. Just because this man is in Jail does not mean he has lost his rights to be safe. I know this is not the only time this has happened I hope this is the last. I am purely disgussed.

The only thing I can say about this is it is what it is. Which to me is very, very sad sitiuation. Evidently some of the bailiffs stepped in and controlled the sitiuation because they would have continued to have beat this poor man. Then they sought proper care for the inmate and got him help. But where they were wrong was, morally and by law, by not contacting this poor mans family.
If this man would have died, he would have been all alone with not a hope of anyone he loves to be with him. Ronnie you are a dear friend to me and I have always supported you, just as I am now.
I am assured that you will handle this is the utmost respectable manner. These inmates are human and hell they are only you,"look in the mirror". So they should have the right to be protected from harm and if harmed should be assured that family would be contacted.
God Bless this man and his family.

Wait a minute. 1st of all....... is this man incapable of picking up a phone and making a collect call himself? And second of all, depends on what he did to get himself put in there before I would decide to pity him. And...... you know what kind of people are in jail. If you do the crime, then thats all part of doing the time. You think if you go out here and do something to get your self put in jail that Mr. Ron Devere should guarantee you a smooth ride while you're there? Whatever! That's the problem with America. They don't drag enough of those assholes down and beat the crap out of them. If they did the crime rate would go down.

You act like this man couldn't find a job somewhere else. Inmates are a complete drain on our economy! I say take the TV's out of there cells. Take the phones out. Feed them all just enough to keep them alive during there 3 meals a day. Don't offer them cards to play. Don't offer them candy and pop at the end of the day..... and make their asses work at least 8 hours a day while they're in there. That would make it cost lest to house them, get some work done around town, people would look at going to jail alot differently!

I dislike this "holier than thou" attitude more than I most likely would dislike the majority of the attitudes of the inmates on any given day at the MCDC. It does as much harm to society in the long run as do our modern day inmates. I don't think inmates have tvs or phones in their cells at the MCDC. They don't "offer" them candy at the end of the day. If someone on the outside has put money in their account (or they came in with money) they can BUY candy at certain times. Some of them do go out to work and they have to pay the jailor to get to do this. Maybe if the USA didn't have the highest rate of imprisonment of all the developed nations and Kentucky have the fastest growing rate of imprisonment inside that, I could agree with some of your points but we are sending too many people to jail. It's not working. Some people feel so hopeless and then we have the Rebeccas of the world that assure them that they are worthless members of society. At one time I think I remember reading that MCDC was breaking even or making money. No matter what it is wrong, wrong, wrong that someone gets assaulted in jail. I hope he's OK.

Okay. 1st of all I don't care what any of you think. I'm entitled to my opinion and it is what it is. I don't think I'm better than any of them, I just know that if I do something illegal that's going to send me to jail then things like that might happen. It's a risk you take. I'm not saying I haven't had my wilder days, lord knows I have. But I was also a teenager...... and then I grew up. And as far as me getting my ass beat in there "Tress" I've taken my share of beatings, I do M.M.A. cage fights..... don't think for one second that I haven't stood and taken my black eye. But guess what, I know that's a risk I take when I get in the cage...... and I don't want anyone to pity me if I get beat up!!!!! AND YES THEY DO HAVE TV'S AND PHONES IN THERE CELLS AT MCDC UNLESS THEY HAVE CHANGED VERY RECENTLY! I have friends that stay in there. But my friends don't go around asking for a pity trip if they get beat up. It's jail, fights happen all the time. And I seriously doubt that this man was completely innocent...... I doubt these guys were sitting around saying "I'm bored, lets drag that dude off the top bunk". And yes, even though I have friends there I will still stand and say that they are a drain on the economy.

And by the way, my children are my priority over anything or anyone! Let me ask you something, are you the type to sit in jail while someone else watches your children? From your remarks..... sure sounds like it!
