If u get a loan I suggest plain green loans and they charge interest too but if u get it on a Monday and payday is Friday just pay it off then. That way u don't pay much interest cause lets face it borrowing money is not free. Work the system don't let it work u. It's nice to pay cash but if u not at that level yet u got to do what u got to do

you OBVIOuSLY have NO concept of family/child support and "seeking every avenue". I have 2 adult children and am owed $40,000+ by the children's "father". I HAVE taken every avenue---even to the governor of my state and my states senator ( as well as your "simple" attorney, "Child services and family services" ( those 2 agencies, BTW deal with CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT not child support )the CORRECT agency is Child Support Enforcement. Guessing you are a non fact-checking Republican. if a "father" chooses to leave his family--finds people willing to support him so that he does not have to get a job---there is NO WAY to collect child support. there is nothing worse than ignorant people speaking self-righteously about topics which they are clueless about. FACT CHECK or SHUT UP

WOW. Holy overreaction, lady. After reading your post and then reading your quoted post, that person what incredibly respectful to you and then you turned and started spewing forth ignorant hate. Ironically, you accused that person of doing the same. With an attitude like that, you should see if Western Sky needs a collector for their loans...

There is NO reason that you should be left saddled with the liability of raising a family alone. Respectifully, it takes two to tango. The children did not arrive by stork or UPS. I would encourage you to seek
every avenue of help available to you and make the most of is. there is money for these situations as well as legal recourse - use them!
I wish you the best,

It is clear that none of you have ever came home from working 12 hr. days and have your husband say " I just don't want the responsibility of a family (which equals I want to move in with my girl friend that doesn't work her toosh off, raise 2 kids keep a house and care for sick parents). One day your not rich but the bills get pd. and you are building a foundation for the future, the next your income alone is $200 less than the bill before food, gas, cloths, etc. You can't afford a high price lawyer so you call finacial assistance (whose salary I've been paying for the past 15 yrs. only to here if there is no child abuse we are too busy to help you. You knock on every door and every one is slamed in your face. Since you do work and try to take care of your family then no one cares that your household income has just been cut in 1/2 but the bill are still at 100%. Get child support?? Many men will quit there jobs or hide most of their money from you. If you do get an court order then whoopee!!! Do you know if he sends as little as $20 every 3 months "He is trying" so nothing is done. Don't give advice or judge unless you have walked in those shoes that by the way are worn out cause you can hardly keep the kids who are growing in shoes, forget yourself. Your life is no longer yours. If you don't starve or get evicted you can quit your job, or force them to fire you, then you can draw public assistance and for most live in shame & embarrassement. Is our system broke, you beat it is!!

$66 +$50 x 8 =$928. So I don't see the problem with them. If you want to get ripped off, go rent from Rent-A-Center.

WHAT A RIP-OFF!!! Desperation is REALLY IS PAIN IN THE ASS.
First of all, if you are requesting a $1000. loan, for example, they will tell you that you qualify for $1500.00. DON'T GET TOO EXCITED! Your SO-CALLED $1500. pre-approved loan becomes ONLY $1000. in your bank account because there is a $500. application fee- BUST YOU ARE STILL LIABLE FOR THE $1500.00 ... WTF!!!
You are given the option to pay off your $1500. within 24 months at an EXTREMELY HIGH interest rate of that makes your scheduled monthly payment=$198.19
Planning to use the luxury of your 24 months to pay back your loan? Unfortunately, that means that you will be paying $198.19 x 25=$4,954.75
Even if you choose to pay them off sooner than 24 months (which is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)your first payment on your so-called $1500. loan will cost you $68.02 the first month... but $0.00 is deducted from you $1500. loan.

- 2nd monthly payment: You pay $198.19, but ONLY $11.94 is deducted from your $1500.00 loan, leaving a balance of $1488.06

- 3rd monthly payment: You pay $198.19, but ONLY $13.42 is deducted from your balance $1488.06, leaving a balance of 1474.64 .....AND SO ON AND SO ON!!! IT'S REALLY NO WORTH IT!

The best thing to do is stay out of debt. Do not borrow for anything. Save up and Pay CASH! It's what our grandparents did. There's no law that says you are required to have a car payment. Save up and pay CASH. Pay off your home mortgage as fast as possible.
Live on less than you make... it's a novel concept, one that Congress can't seem to grasp.

So using your own math, if I took out a $1500.00 loan, the smart thing would be to make larger payments.
You said the first month they would deduct $68.02, but none of that goes to the loan...so make a payment of $700.00 instead, that way you pay down the loan amount by $631.98.....leaving a balance of $868.02.......
Month 2- pay another $700.00 - this would pay down the loans by $513.75.....(this isn't adjusting the apr for the lower principle....unsure what that would be but the principle amount would actually probably be lower.at this point)
Then finally, month 3- pay a final $700.00- and you are paid off in 3 months.
The total pay off amount on a $1,500.00 loan....$2,100.00.... Much better than $4,954.75. By making large payments you saved $2854.75 and only paid about 40% in interest.....yes that's still high...but if you need the money it can be worth it.....bottom line, don't take out the loan unless you can pay it back in three months or less

Per the lawsuit from Maryland Western Sky Financial is a LLC which means that it has to be filled under a state or federal corporation. This makes the claim that they are protected under Tribal Sovereity is questionable at best. Even so a company has to be licences in the states they are doing business in regardless if they ate tribal owned or owned by a company based in Great Britain or Japan.

I love the comment "stay out of debt". Well not all of us buy and buy and buy and are still in debt due to unforseen circumstances! For example: an ex-husband that walked out on me and 4 kids and REFUSED to let me get a college education and now refuses to pay child support. My fault? yeah I suppose so for thinking my husband would be with me for ever and I wouldn't be worried about how to pay my rent so me and my children aren't evicted! Sorry for trying to find a way to make things work in a world that doesn't help the underdog!
