Has anyone elses kids had this demon woman as a bus driver? I would like to know your thoughts on her and the way she treats kids. Before any of you start, I know how hard it is to be a bus driver and how kids act, however, when my 5 year old comes home daily in tears there's a problem. I would like parents responses if their kids ride this bus and if it's an ongoing problem with several, I would love to get together and have this woman removed from the route. I have called Skip Benton twice and have been assured things would be better. That was a joke!

What is happening with your child? Is it the driver or another child?

Don't know her, but can you be specific about what she's doing to make your child cry? Have you tried speaking to her about it when she lets your child off?

I've had the same issues. My kids ride her bus and they have came home saying that she's constantly screaming at them and writing them up. My daughter was kept on the bus and not allowed to eat breakfast last week because she was laughing. I don't think so. She drives horrible and other parents have the same complaints as me and you. I think we should also get together and have her off our route. I could write all day about the issues and yes, I do plan on talking to her and the board about the breakfast issue. She needs to be removed from driving period. Christian woman....blah....no child deserves what she does to them emotionally every day. I would LOVE to see bus tapes but how convenient that when I talked to the bus garage, they just haven't been recording. Great coverup!

Maybe the reason that your daughter likes it is because she is one of the 4 or 5 elementary students that were picked to be bus monitors. Really....young children that report to the driver what the older kids are doing. That's ridiculous! It's not the young kids place to be in that position. Maybe if we had real monitors some of this nonsense would stop. If the older kids say stupid, they get wrote up. My daughter got wrote up for laughing....seriously....not at anyone....just laughing. Mr. Cash from MSHS called and told me that's what the write up was and that he had a stack of writeups from Brenda, all which were ridiculous. Wrote my 2nd grader up for not having his things ready to get off the bus and sent him off crying. Now....please tell me what a great person she is. I'm not buying it!

My child rides her bus and has for a long time he thinks the world of her he came home and said when it was so hot she brougt popcycls for them that reeally sounds like a bad person she is one of the nicest bus drivers I know If you go to her with an open mine you might find where the problem lies. It sounds like you have you mind made up to destroy someone life that you dont even know I deal with children every day and you can judge a child by the way the parent acts. How would you like people turming on you for nothing and trying to take you job you need to stop and think what you are doing.

I know a "good Christian woman" who shook a child at a Madison County elementary school some years ago.

Just because someone attends a church doesn't make them automatically perfect. Sorry if that offends, but it's the truth!

My middle son was shaken -hard- by a lunchroom employee when he was in kindergarden because he spilled milk when he was returning his tray after eating. I knew something had upset him really bad, but he wouldn't tell me what it was because he was afraid of her. It was thanks to an anonymous phone call from a kind person that I found out about it. I had a meeting at school (Kingston) with the woman (lunch room woman), the principal and some other people. Got no where with them because it was denied even though there were witnesses who were shocked by her behavior. The school board wouldn't get involved either; they wanted the principal to handle it.

I had an attorney and was going to pursue it, but ended up changing my mind. I don't think anyone ever wins anything against the schools anyway. By winning, I mean I wanted this woman fired. I learned she was a bully in the cook area, and with other children. The principal at that time was Mrs. Tolle, or something with a T---can't remember right this minute....

My son was always a very well behaved and quiet student, and not used to having hands raised against him for any reason. I am *certain* the woman knew how displeased I was, and her's would not be the only hands used on someone if any such thing ever happened again.

She was supposedly a good Christian woman as well. You are right; church no more makes a person a good Christian than does standing in a garage make one a mechanic.

People---advocate for your child/children, but make sure you have your facts straight, witnesses, and the truth on your side.

This is exactly the one I was referring to. Someone should have shook her a good one before letting her go!

I remembered the principal's name was Tolene Pitts. I didn't care for her and was glad she went.

That lunchroom bully---thought she was had at that meeting; when I jumped up and started to go across that table and slammed the crap out of it when she denied it---I scared everyone there in the room with me (hahahhahaaa) I still get mad when I think about her scaring and causing such an emotional upset for my sweet, gentle little boy. He never has had a mean streak in him at all, and is still as polite and sweet as he was then.

Maybe you need to ride the bus with your child and find out what the problem is. I work in the system and know very well that sometimes what a child tells a parents is not always so. I have raised 2 of my own, I know. We want to believe everything our children tells us , but hey .. they don't always tell us the truth either. My son was crying when he got off his bus and refused to tell me why. His cousin ended up telling me some kid was picking at him.
As far as being written up for laughing, I just wonder how many times she was told to quieten down? Driving a bus with screaming and loud children can't be easy.
I would suggest you get a job driving the school bus or apply for a monitor. You might be able to better understand why this bus driver writes children up.
I would also suggest that any parent that is not satisfied with the school system volunteer to help out in school, it will make you appreciate the school staff just a bit better.

Go to the thread "Red Foley" and read what a supposed teacher's response was on donations....if that doesn't open your eyes, than nothing will. She goes under the name "Come on now".

Seriously, you do have your bad eggs out there, also. In this instance, this woman really should have never been in a teaching position.

As you said, some children tell fabrications. Some teachers don't believe that. It would be the parents fault if something like that happens.
