No time for the pledge at Silver Creek Elementary

Silver Creek has begun its year with an interim Principal. But that isn't the problem. Do the parents of Silver Creek students realize that the students do not say the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the school day? There are many elementary schools that do take the time to honor our country and the men and women serving. However, when asked if the kids should begin the day with the pledge, the answer given was, "There is no time, instruction begins when the students get to the classroom." Just an FYI for those who may not know this fact. No time.....Shameful!

Silver Creek students say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. It is done using the speaker system; therefore, every student and class participates. Don't talk about things you don't know about.

Your kiddo must have given you some false info. Even though you may think they are perfect, kids do tell lies... What ever happened to blaming the student and not the teacher for failures at school.

I know from first hand knowledge that every single morning after the first bell rings the secretary comes on the intercom and tells the students "it's now time for our pledge", "attention, salute, pledge" and the pledge is said. If you got your info from a student maybe the student is one of the ones that can't get to class and be ready for the pledge. Just sayin.....
Oh and if the students are at their locker or walking down the hall, they are asked to stop in their tracks to say the pledge with everyone else. All teachers require this of them. They honor our flag and our country!!
