It elevates you because god loves you so much but does not care about the 40,000 children who die of starvation EVERY SINGLE DAY, The list could go on. Your cult is about elevating yourself above others and giving you the right to satisfy your blood lust and perversions all in gods name i am not comfortable with your name, especially since your comments are also so very strong. I agree that there is a significant segment of Christianity and of Christians, who are guilty as you charge. I think the charge can apply to a couple of other religious siblings of Christianity, also, especially with Netanyahu in power in Israel, and particularly when it is the small coalition with the ultra extremist rightwing religious nuts there. I keep wishing that folks like you would be more specific and zero in on the horrible aspects of Christianity - the notion of original sin and punishing future generations for alleged curiosity and disobedience of alleged eve and alleged adam, the notion of a need for a redeemer and worse the notion that it has to be through a blood sacrifice, the rape of a teenage virgin girl by god or the holy ghost in order to produce a son to be a blood sacrifice (patricide is supposedly awful, but fathers can kill their sons, apparently - afraid their thing will get bigger than daddy's thing, is my guess!- no that is not all of it, but maybe the deep dark ugly psychological subconscious secret - fear of losing mommy's full attention when the kids come first and father is neglected, fear of the older son getting stronger and rebelling and knocking daddy off the king of the hill spot, resistance to any challenge from any strong male - or female, probably - just some guesses - but worth exploring). worst of all the ritual cannibalism reenactment of the blood and the wine - and the poor fool Jesus figure getting duped into thinking he would be OK with it, and then getting really tortured.(look for a book called the Passover Plot, about that one!) Then there are the horrors of the book of revelation, and the dangers from the true believers who think it is a scenario for the future, in which they play a helping part by voting for a President who would launch a WWIII in the area of Israel, with Israel and the US against Russia (the big bear nonsense) and Iran. and these folks pretend to be friends of Israel - though they really just want Israel to fulfill enouch prophecy to get the war started and other troubles, so that the faithful Christians can get raptured up to safety in the sky on clouds to watch the carnage with god and Jesus. I call these types the Armageddon Welcoming Committee. Please hit as hard as you wish at those who have particularly evil doctrines, and please spell out your list of the evil doctrines to add to what I have emphasized. But I ask you to think twice about generalizing about all Christians. There is a love bunch, that just looks for the rosecolored glasses sections of the Bible and Christian teaching. There is a bit of nice stuff to find - I went through the Bible once and marked the nice passages with a red ink pen. I think there is still a lot of ink left in the pen.

Spaceship earth wrote: <quoted text> Yep, a mister. Of course I must be twisting scriptures "And all those who dwell on the earth will worship it; the name of not one of them stands written in the scroll of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered" It does say all who dwell on the earth will worship it. Does that mean you worship it at one time or another? Why does God need a test after a Millennial Reign if you survived armaggedon? 1. God destroys the whole planet in Noahs day, except 8 people. 2. God destroy the unglodly again during amageddon. 3. God destroys the unfaithful again during gog magog. Thats a lot of killing. You would think. Just think just because you're a JW does not mean you continue stroking old yahweh ego does it. After all one third of the angels went awol. By the way do you think that the Mark of the Beast is a microchip. What is the mark of the best? God seems to need repeated reassurance that he is not letting someone who will not be a perpetual asskisser into his Heaven.

I think that somewhere between his over-tolerance and your under-tolerance there is a happy medium. The point is to find the one good point in someone, if they present it to us, even in a hint of decency or good sense. But not to ignore all the bad parts, and not to pretend the bad parts do not outweigh the good ones, or that they do not represent a danger.

Spaceship earth wrote: <quoted text> Known fact wrote: The “Mark of the Beast” it takes a little while to identify the “Beast” from the Bible, you need to have a Bible study with Jehovah’s Witnesses. spaceship replies: So only JW can decode the book? Would you agree that some if not all religious groups want you to study with them to learn the correct interpetation of the bible? Why is that? Known fact wrote: I will share a clue with you, Beasts in the Bible represents Ruler ship (or Governments. spaceship replies: If that's true "government is the beast" how is it possible to worship it? What represents worship of a government that would give you the mark of the beast? Give examples please. It was Nixon and Colson.
