There is a class at the college that has nude people in it. One of the art classes has nude models. Other students run in and out and they can see it also. Does anyone think this is wrong? I dont mean to imply that it is wrong that the students draw them. I think it is wrong that the other students can run in and out and see them. They can see even if they go to a instructors office that is in the same building as the walkway overlooks the art class.

I agree that attending the class is perfectly ok, but ogling is unacceptable. Perhaps security should be stationed to do something about them.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the naked body. If the models don't mind then I don't see the big deal.

According to the Judeo-Christian tradition God created the human body. It is a beautiful thing. It should be seen as the awesome engineering masterpiece of musculature, bone structure, perfection, balance and power that it is.

Do you have to be an artist to appreciate that?

i know that at EKU they hire people to model nude. There is so much porn around I don't think it makes much difference. I don't see how they can be naked at school and not be charged with indecent exposure even if they are modeling...i mean....a flasher is just modeling...aren't they?

Everyone likes to look at naked people, right? I could see this happening just as you are describing it, and - people being people - not be surprised. As long as this isn't a security issue nor a safety issue for female students, it isn't an issue for me. If one wanted to purge the heritage of Western art of the nude form and the nude models who inspired it, one would have to burn a lot of art museums, not to mention the Vatican.

I dont mean that anything is bad with it. If you are in that class. I know that artists work with the nude body. I just wonder about the others that go in and out, or even to the instructors office. You do realize that some freshmen could be 17 years of age. I dont think anyone in the class could be where it is a advanced class. But one walking in it seems could get the college or the model in trouble.

I am sorry, I think I worded it wrong in the first post.

I really don't understand why this is a big deal. Its the human body people. They are not drawing people having sex. What is wrong with someone walking in and seeing a grown adult sitting/standing naked in this environment?

There are many paintings and sculptures in museums all over the world of naked humans, should we cover them up unless the viewer is 18? Should we post warning signs?

Thats right, God made a pant suite for Eve so Adam wouldn't be tempted.*snort*

I'm pretty sure the King James version says that Adam and Eve were ashamed and covered there nakedness. NOT that god covered them. This happened after they ate from the tree of knowledge and knew sin.

The naked body is beautiful and pure. Man's thoughts are impure.

No, God did not make them clothes. They covered themselves in embarrassment after Eve ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Before that they had no concept of nakedness. If you are going to spew moronic christian values, AT LEAST, know what the bible says!!

I have done the modeling thing before. It has been a few years though. It isnt anything sexual at all. Mostly it is boring. I would suggest anyone who thinks anything different should try it before they knock it. Who knows, you might be like me and learn something about yourself in the process.
