HOW in the world can Wal-Mart cost you $62. They must have sold you a bunch of unneeded crap.

Yep, I was stressed out and not thinking, didn't see the big sign saying it costs $30.00 now! I said I just want an oil change, then the guy was asking me about checking air filter, I said yall put one on it last time you changed oil, then asked about checking wiper blades, and I said, well, I guess :) Plus I bought antifreeze...So yep, it was my own darn fault, Older than Dirt, I wasn't using the brain God gave me! Won't make that mistake again, I hope.

we've all been there. I figured it was just such a situation.

I still prefer MY garage to anyone else. I know what's in there, and that it's the right amount. I also know that the plug went back in...

Evans Tire has a great oil change and they are very reasonable. I get all my work done there. Alot of people like to talk crap about them but they do great work.

Oh, another note. Wal-Mart forgot a drain plug once in a vehicle of mine and my friends. My friend was lucky enough to catch his in time to fix it. I wasn't. And Wal-Mart did not take the blame for it. That's an engine down.

Also, separate occasion before the oil incident. I had my tires rotated and they said all was good.(I had those fake caps over the bolts) After driving about 30 miles I felt a wobble. Removed the cap and noticed only 1 bolt holding my wheel on. Again, Wal-Mart did not except blame. So please, I beg you, Steer 100% clear of Wal-Mart.

Typical Wal-Mart automotive stories. I would not take a vehicle that I value there.

Being new here and not finding a Jiffy Lube around, I went to Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Richmond and they are great. They are fast and the service is like that of Jiffy Lube, which I like. As a matter of fact that is one of my stops for today. I must warn you, that as with anything they will offer you extras, but if you just let them know you want a regular oil change, you'll be just fine. If you decide to try them out, you can go to their website and print out a coupon for $5.00 off. http://www.vioc.com/

Change center includes up to 5 quarts of Valvoline® Oil, a new Valvoline oil filter, and vehicle lubrication of chassis components according to manufacturer's specifications. Some vehicles do not require chassis lubrication.

At the same time, we also perform a complete preventive maintenance check of the following:

Transmission fluid
Power steering fluid
Windshield washer fluid
Antifreeze/coolant
Tire pressure
Air Filter
Serpentine Belt
Wiper blades
Vehicle Lights
Battery test – at participating locations
Differential fluid – available upon request
Transfer case fluid – available upon request

If you read this carefully, you'll note that this is an employee of the oil change place advertising their services. While I don't have a problem with advertising. You should not start your post attempting to disguise yourself as a customer.

I do not work for them. I moved here from Oregon 15 months ago. What I did, was copy and pasted the info from the website so that the list of services offered would be available for everyone to see. I was trying to offer my honest opinion with back up information and hopefully save that person money if they CHOSE to go there. I'm glad to hear that I sounded convincing, because I really do love the drive through oil changes...must be my 17 years in retail shining through.

Don't even think about taking your car to that place. they forgot to put the oil cap back on. i ended up with a busted block because of them. they denied it,but it was them. i always go to valoline. if you still want your car in one piece, don't go there. it happened 12 yrs ago, never been back!!!!!

so living here 15 months and having what, 5 oil changes makes you an expert on who to recommend for an oil change? 17 years of shooting off at the mouth is shinning thru to me--now shut your cake whole and when you have lived in our fair town for more than a few years you can speak your mind. hell some of the college kids have been in town longer than you---and we sure as heck do not listen or care about anything they may let spew out of there mouths....retail for 17 yrs...lmao
