Hitachi was a good place to work, the money is great and yea they do work you a lot, but these days it's worth it. And you need to quit being such a whiny butt, maybe if you done your job or quit back-talking the supervisors you would still have your job! So shut up and deal with it! They let you go for a reason and from this I can understand why!!! Someone needs to slap you for even saying it should move to Mexico...then what are people gonna do? People like you are what destroy good things!

You mean you couldn't take care of family, while working for the glorious Hitachi? Why? You sang their praises so you should have been able to juggle both Hitachi AND family! What does that say about you?

Listen here talk is cheap you're pathetic. Have you ever thought that I had a sick grandparent out of state? Yea jack@$$ I couldnt juggle both. But as far as the work there it was good. The money great and the supervisors were understanding and helped if I needed help. I'm not gonna bash a place that was good to me.

Sorry about your grandparents, yet how does it feel to get the same treatment that you dished out? If it's so grand, how come people are quitting left and right? How come they can't keep help? Money may be 'good', but apparently not 'good enough'. You may have been able to suck up like a good little employee and get it easy, but not everyone goes there with your type of mindset. They go there to work and support their families and come home when the day/week is over and be with and enjoy what time they should have, off. That doesn't happen down there, does it?

We can either believe your 'fantasy' of what life at Hitachi is all about, or see with our own eyes, that about all of Madison County has worked there, along with over half of the other surrounding counties and know that "something just ain't right". It's even worse, when they test for drugs, fire the person who fails it, then rehires that same person, a week to a month later. Yeah, I find that real refreshing and oh so safe!

Sometimes, and in Hitachi's case, A LOT, money just isn't worth the bullsh**. I'm sure though, that they'll rehire you. Desperation makes for some crazy hiring practices.

Oh, come on back and tell us your version some more.

Just so you know, that was my last comment. I didn't come to this thread to argue about your love life. I only pointed out the obvious and you had a melt down.

I truly hope you finally realize your dream of going back to Hitachi and living life to the fullest. Just remember, not everyone shares your warm, fuzzy feelings about it. I'm sorry but that's just how life is.

People are just too lazy these days, if they actually done their job, maybe the supervisors would be easier on them. What they don't realize is that the supervisors get jumped on by the managers and so on. The supervisors aren't there to be your friend, they're there because just like you they need a job. And just so you know a friend of mine still works there and she said they're planning to do weekend shifts and weekday shifts, so people will actually work and quit whining. And another thing, if people hear it's so bad there, then why go there in the first place? That place isn't for the lazy or weak minded. It's either grow up and be mature or go somewhere else! But as for me, I loved the money, it paid my bills!

If you actually had a clue, you would realize it's not lazy workers, it's the company promising more than what they can deliver. It's been that way for 20 plus years but now as the companies we supply have greater demand, our expectations have become more. To the point that they can't be filled. Uh,you know, expediting shipments everyday.. Is the money good? Yes. Are the benefits good? Yes. But if you're considering applying for a job there, know that going in you will be working seven days a week, ten to twelve hours a day, depending on which building you're in.Doesn't leave much for a home life. If your priority is work and nothing else, this is the place for you. If you enjoy things other than work, you might want to move on.
As far as how long does it take to get hired as temp, if you get in now it probably won't take that long because they are desperate for people. Many senior employees have had enough and are leaving daily.

Hitachi is an awful place to work. They do not care about anyone but theirselves up their. Work you half to death. 10 hours a day 7 days a week. I would not recommend working here if you care about your family. I can just say that if you don't work there anymore that you are lucky.

Heard that 5 people just walked out the other day. And one just refused to show up weekend. They need to hire more people and let everyone have a life.
But like every other company, they think paying over-time, and being slave-master is cheaper. They relish the fact that they have COMPLETE control of your life.
I'm unemployed, but I avoid this place

if u need a job you'll work anywhere.... I work there 9 hours a day and maybe one weekend a month. I would prefer more overtime... OT is where you make the good money. Not a bad place at all if you are not a lazy AZZZ.
