I have a black walnut tree i need cut down...it is worth alot of money due to it not branching out until it gets about 15 feet up maybe higher i never actually measured it...anyone interested or know who i can contact to get my money out of this tree?

Call a local lumber mill... Feldman's in Lancaster, or the one out in Ravenna. They'll know a logger that can cut it and pay you for it.

thanks man...i know i have tried locally and a few towns surrounding berea but i could not find someone that wanted it...i will try those two.

I've often wondered if Feldman was still in business. I repaired their main saw conveyer years ago. It was quiet an opperation at that time. Talk about big motors! They had a 100HP motor running the saw blade and, litterally a truck cab, as the operator platform. Most everything I work on today is larger but I'll never forget (or miss) that one job. Big, scary and lethal would have been an understatement.

hey wood mizer i sent you an e-mail a yesterday and was wondering you you wanted to check out this tree? if not then would anyone like to buy a black walnut tree? i need it out of my yard and i know it is worth some money

Yup, Feldman's still around. David was President of the KY lumber association last year. I do a little business with them. A nice bunch to deal with.

I measured the tree and it is 48 inches at my chest i am 76 inches tall...i do want a fair price for this tree...please do not try to con me...i have investigated the worth of these tree's at this time and i do know that i have a valuable one...thanks hope to hear back from you guys
