Rallys, Krystal and Hardee's have pulled plans for building in Berea but have an interest in devolopment in lancaster. Lowes, according to the people in management positions in Richmond, say it is over. At least for the next 20 years. Kroger, since they have now invested a shit-load of money in revamping the store in Richmond, has canceled plans, perminately, for opening a store in Berea.<quoted text> You are correct about both of those restaurants wanting to locate to Berea if I remember correctly they were put on hold just like Lowes at exit 76 was because of the sluggish economy back in 2008 2009. i havent heard any kind of update on these businesses lately though.
FYI, Krstal was to build where Dollar Tree is now. So you can wipe all of this off the table.
Berea gaind one business and lost three. It also appears that Omaga Systems is now closed also, that is four to one on the negative side. This seem to be what happens to Berea. The town gets one business and loses two, three or four more.
LexMark today announced the loss of about thousand jobs. many of those people live in Berea. Imigine the overall effect of this over two or three years.
