I wonder if anyone realizes that the former principal of KMS is a Gulf War Veteran, Purple Heart, Army Ranger. He was serverely injured in Gulf War 1. He was having health problems that required him to place a cot in his office to lay down during the day. The new superintendent had him take the cot out of his office. Maybe the local newspaper might want to do an investigation of these events.

Seems that War Veterans have a hard time at Kenedy ISD. A former band teacher, US Marine, two tours of Viet Nam; former math teacher, infantry, one tour Viet Nam, and now a MS pricipal, Army Ranger, Gulf War 1 is now another victum of war. Seems Kenedy ISD is not a combat veteran friendly place to work. Seems people who have not been around War Veterans have a hard time understading them. Over reacting and creating misuderstanding is not the way to treat our War Veterans. I hope the schools who hire the returning Veterans as teachers are more understanding and tolerate of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and other war related disorders than the Kenedy ISD administrators.

When serving our country we are all compensated well and the perks are far better than those of non-serving citizens. Don't absorb all you can for your services and then later on act disgruntled because you personally feel used. At some point we have to look at things realistically. Some of the reasons listed above are reasons why we can't wait for some one to become injured before acting. If it acts like a dog it's a dog and all dogs bite. Don't wait around for the dog to injure or worse take the life of some one before acting. Preventative maintainence is far more cost effective than waiting for the breakdown. Our School System is fine. Our reps are looking out for our children's best interest and by no meenes are we intentionally causing any unfair/unfavorable acts towards any one employed by our ISD Know more than just your self pity when attacking any ISD smart guys!
