"Struggling to fill pews as the Ohio Valley's population continues to dwindle," So goes the theme of the article--its all about demographics.
But they ignore the huge elephant occupying the room: The ELCA's steady march to the Left during the last generation. The shepherd has been negligent, and the sheep are voting with their feet. Is the ELCA now the ecclesiastic voice of the DNC? The chickens are coming home to roost in enormous flocks.
