She taught that extremely wealthy people were a special breed and everyone should not only look up to them, but almost worship at their feet. She believed extremely wealthy people were called out to more or less have dominion over everyone else.

AYN RAND also believed and taught that anyone who was not extremely wealthy were just looters and nothing more than parasites & hangers on to extremely wealthy people.

Does this give you a little insight to Paul Ryan's thinking? Although, I understand (since being selected as Romney's VP candidate) Ryan has considerably toned down many of his more radical views (which he learned from AYN RAND).

If this is what is being taught to our Republican congressmen these days - no wonder they are so radical...Is this who we really want making budgets & policies for our country???

Objectivism based on Ayn Rands philosophy is contradictory to the philosophy of the Christian faith. Ryan can't claim to serve both.
Rands promoted selfishness as a positive quality and rejected altruism. It does seem like she would be picked up by Republicans as a model for their lives.
Incidentally, Rand died in 1982. Her book Atlas Shrugged came out in 1957. Otherwise everything you wrote is correct. She was an atheist, an adulterer and a believer in the diefication of wealth.
