football at the high school

i am going to the school board meeting next month and bringing up the issue with them.. i have talked to some of the facutly and they are all behind me. i just need to show them that the parents and the community will back this sport. i am going to try and put petitions around town at local businesses. let me know what you think

i guess we will see what they say and what it takes.. i heard there is a 3 year plan for it... i know it cant be started up right away, but i will push as hard as i can and see what this 3 year plan is

i agree that we should have football too. my boys arent interested in any of the other sports at the school but they sure get excited when they get to play touch football in gym class. we need more for the kids to do around here and football would be a great start. mom of 2 if you put out petitions please let us know.

you should also put one up at benton bestway and the library... i think that it would be a good idea maybe to put something in the newspaper about it are school needs football and we need some more school spirit!

I did put them at the library, bestway, and boomland (between mcd's and boomland on a cork board). I gave some to express but they have to ok it with the owner... I will take one to the BBQ place tomorrow and the consignment shop as well. Oh yeah, there is also one at the beauty shop uptown.. Thank you all for all the support. I am a little nervous about going in front of the board, but knowing that other people really want this helps me out alot...

Is there anyone who teaches at the school that knows how to coach football? Any teachers that played, or have experience coaching football?

we hava to know that this will take about 3 years to get it started because of the cost and all the stuff that has to be done.. not sure about coaches yet..just doing this one step at a time

I think all coaches must learn how to coach all sports, to get their degree. I would look for a corporate sponsor, like Russ Motherhead, someone who cares about Kelly.

If the moneys their they will line up to coach it! Caoching is not the problem, the problem is the board says equal sports for boys and girls, I'd say add vollyball for girls. There's how to do it. From an insider!

well..went to the meeting and there were 2 sports brought up..soccer and football. as i discussed football witht them, they seemed pleased with all the answers i had and all the signatures that i had (over 400). i suggested volleyball, and they said they were afraid that it wouldn't go over well because it is played the same time as softball.. i am hoping to hear from someone on the school board as to the discussions they had about it.. i am trying my best and doing what i can do.. thanks for all the signatures.. i'm sure they helped. that was one of the big things i had that they lady wanting soccer didnt.. thanks again, and i will let u know if i hear anything
