She didn't get her way???? Soooo she's wrong for not wanting to put animals down? What was she supposed to do.? She worked her ass for that place. And instead of giving her lexies job, they post it as available....... I don't think she's griping because of they way she was treated but more about how they are doing the animals.......... Instead of being able to find homes for adoptable animals they want them put down after a certain amount of time...... That's what is wrong. The fact that she couldn't do that is part of the reason she quit......

Try this. Work for a shelter and become attached to the animals. Mayor says pick a bunch of animals and put them down for space. Put down more than is needed so there won't be an overcrowding problem. I think people should be charged a fee every time they drop an animal off there and fined over $100 everytime their animal is picked up. Misti and Lexie did a great job there. They just could not act cold and heartless like Mike wanted them to do. I say have Mike come in and do the euthinizing and sit there while each animals dies. He is so heartless and non-caring he would probably laughh viciously and enjoy every minute of it.

there are people that eat dogs and cats. We should slaughter them and set up an export to countries like china ect.by products could be used as filler for feed. Instead of loosing money--we could make money.

You don't know what you're talking about-#1 mike is the judge not the mayor,#2 I watch the court meetings on youtube and have never heard anyone say charge $100.#3 the fact is that misti doesn't work there anymore- she quit so it's time for her to move on...

If you think education cost----try ignorance. The person in that position supposed to have at least a vet assistant degree. THAT is why she was not promoted. If your doctor quit-would you want your nurse to move up? um this is a bit different........there was not an vet tech there before Lexi, and I'm not talking bad about lexie..... But a vet tech can't do anything without a vet in the building........ So she wasn't really able to do anything a vet tech can do, plus they don't have the equipment as a vets office.....sooooo and anyone can give dogs and cats shots...... This position really had nothing to do with education.........and as for the nurse dr thing trust me I would much rather have the nurse in most cases.......

If space is an issue then why not let people adopt a cat to be outside? Beggers can't be choosers when it comes to adoption and needing space. Yes, ideally every cat would be inside eating shrimp cocktail all day - but that's just not going to happen. People need barn cats. Why not go to the shelter and adopt one that might otherwise be put down because of space? Seems like an outside life is better than no life at all. The shelter is just that - a shelter - animal control. It works to adopt out animals and to control the population. The sad reality is that there just isn't enough space in the world to take them all in. Space is always going to be an issue - no matter how big the facility - especially around here. The girls did a good job over there getting pets adopted and sent to rescue. But they have to understand that it is a stressful thing. It is a kill shelter. That is the reality of the situation. Misty quit because she said she couldn't put down animals due to space. Unfortunately, that was part of her job. She knew that going on, so she did the right to quit. If she can't do her job and all the duties that come with it, then she doesn't need to be doing it. So, she's not.
