I'm not really agreeing with Karma, but I do know that Jimmy Harper was having an affair with a married women right before the accident. He made mistakes in life too.

I'm not a fan of Jimmy Harper either. He bullied and did alot of bad things in his life. I also seen him drive numerous times while drunk so he wasn't a saint like people are portraying him to be. You treat people like shit and this is what happens.

As I set back here and read these comments I find myself astounded at what some people are saying.
First off, I did not know jimmy harper but I do know Dallas, and I'm sure him and his brother would Absolutly love to read how their fathers death has made some people happy.(Note sarcasm) I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy and neither should none of you. That is Absolutly sickening.
Second, should Tiffany serve time for her crime? Yes she should. I don't know the girl but I wouldn't lable her as a murderer. A young woman who made a terrible mistake? Yes. That's what she is to me.
Thirdly, based on the testimony that the paducah sun wrote about, Ms. heitt should be in the jail cell next to her. Anyone who is a .311 is a loud, disorderly, rowdy drunk. It was said that the driver behind them could see Holly bouncing around the car to a manner that seemed like a fight of some sort. Who is to say that this drunk didn't grab her steering wheel or do something ignorant rather than set down and shut up. Officer maxlow said it seemed as though the vehicle over corrected before hitting Mr. Harpers vehicle. My personal opinion, Holly seems like she is just as much to blame as Tiffany. We may never know exactly what was going on in that vehicle. Under the law, Tiffany is to blame. But I think Holly should be getting some of it to. Seems like she might be some of the reason why Mr. Harper is no longer with us. That's just my take on it. Accept it or not, that's your choice.

She should have to serve a minimum of twenty years before even getting the option for probation. Sad for both familys and sure that mistake was easy to make more people need to take drinking and driving more serious as it is but that will never happen.

Your right "logical" I think anyone can see that the Height girl was the ultimate cause of the accident. I fail to see the fault in the Pittman girls actions to the degree she is going to be punished for. Keep in mind if she was one year older her blood test results would not be DUI. I cant understand how she is being punished to the degree she is facing. It seems quite obvious that the Height girl grabbed the steering wheel. What did Pittman actually do? Guilty of DUI because of her age but her blood alcohol level was not nearly high enough to cause this type of accident. Looks like Barney and the boys would at least arrest the person really responsible for this accident.

According to testimony neither Pittman nor Hiett could remember what happen. So you can't charge someone on opinion. Pittman wouldn't testify against her friend/ passenger Hiett or vise versa.

But the jury did convict on opinion not the facts. Her blood alcohol level when tested was .07. This is a legal limit for a 21 yr old to drive a vehicle under law. I think the common sense question is would the jury convict if she was 1 yr older. I think so, with the lynch mob mentality they had. Look out Burkeen is all I can say.

I am Jimmy Harpers sister, and I would like to come face to face with Karma! you did NOT know Jimmy. Or if you did it wasn't the way you wanted it I am sure. He was an amazing brother, 1 of 12 children and worked very hard for everything he had. so do not judge him. He was a great dad and he loved his grand daughter like no other. So if you want to talk smack, then say you name . I will back up anything on my brother and so will his friends and family. You all think she shouldn't do anytime well what if it was your dad, mom, sibling, or child?????? it wouldn't be so accepting now would it? So hwatch your mouth or at least listen to what crap rolls outta your mouth. He does have a family who loves and misswes him daily. Remember it could have been your family
