The answer is yes. I am a happily married female and I have two very good friends that are males. We are not flirty we are just good friends. On the other hand, if this "female friend" is a "needy" type person and does not have a stable happy life, I'm not so sure.

No it is not okay to "hide" it or anything else!!! However, it could be that it wasn't important enough to mention. Depends on what you mean by hiding it. Slipping around to make phone calls or something like that is just plain wrong.

In this case hiding it = talking/texting with this woman for a number of years. Which included talking about me & our family.

It starts out just talking as friends. Then they start talking about spouses. They know they are doing wrong, and hiding it is just first part. Then it's a all day calls and texts. Looked at my spouses and they texted over 50 times a day and texted me like 3 times. I stopped it but they find other ways to "talk". Married people should know all friends numbers to spouses friends. If hiding from you, they are cheating.

How do you know they were cheating? I text other guys and have never once considered cheating. I'm talking several text a day to some guys. I am happily married and have been for 15 years. I do have to hide it because I

I am married to a man that is jealous and insecure. But I would never cheat on him or have in appropriate text. I just wish he wasn't so jealous.

It depends. If he's an aquaintance, it's ok. BUT..If you spend a lot of time with a male "friend", that's NOT ok for a married woman and the same applies to married men.

Really. Wonder why your husband is jealous? Because you are confiding in other men. Plain and simple. If you are as happy as you say you are in the marriage why are you talking to other men? That should be your husband your talking\texting to. And To the thread, No. If its a married women with male friends, or married men with female friends, its inappropriate. If you cant talk to your spouse like that you shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. I dont care who you are or how much you say you wouldn't ever do anything. Anyone in their right mind knows, one or the other person is bound to have more than "friend" feelings at some point, and in the right situation (bad day with a spouse just as an example) that other person might try and push something. That's why you have girl friends or guys friends, if you need to sh*t talk your spouse you do not need to be confiding in someone of the opposite sex.

Sounds like an admission of guilt. You've either cheated with this guy, have talked or thought about it. You are looking for anyone to tell you it's okay. If was okay, you wouldn't need reassurance of the fact. It appears your husband has all the right to be jealous. Hope he kicks your ass to the curb and moves on.
