Jump away...the water is deep there. As far as legal, there is nothing posted in the area prohibiting jumping.

I did it years ago. Go in the middle of the channel. It's deep.

Deep is relative. Most of time center is 12-15 feet, but tie issue is boats traveling under not knowing you are there. As to illegal cant say. A couple of years ago I saw several boys jumping off canal bridge with a tow rope. State police asked them to stop as someone reported them doing things that they weren't doing. Officer knew that because he had been watching them, but he had to act because of the complaint
