So... I come home from running errands on Saturday to discover somebody had littered their spam flyer/menu for "Clarks Family Pizzeria" on my front door.(For the record, I absolutely hate it when people dump their unsolicited crap on my door. Do like a normal business and send it through the Postal Service so I can just toss it in the trash with the rest of the junk mail.)

Anyway, I take a glance at the menu and two things immediately catch my eye that turn me off even further than the fact that they litter peoples homes with unsolicited menus:

1)$2.00 in-town delivery fee.
2) Cash only, no checks or credit/debit cards.

Are you F'n kidding me? So it's cash only (I'd expect that from a character like Carl...) AND you want me to pay $2.00 for local delivery? Plus tax, plus tip... at the advertised prices (average tip included) it looks like I can expect to pay a total of about $35.00 for a 16" pizza with only 4 toppings and an order of bread sticks. That doesn't include a two liter of cola... Holy Jesus I'm afraid to even ask the damage.

Something tells me Carl isn't gonna be in business very long. Apparently he thinks his dilapidated shack is catering to some prized, ritzy community and not one of the most economically-depressed counties in the state.

As a lifelong resident of Benton and a retired business owner I hate to see any local business fail, so I hope Carl comes to his senses and does a few things before turning even more potential customers off:

1) Quit littering front doors with your menu.
2) Accept credit/debit cards.
3) Do away with the delivery charge.
4) Try some reasonable pricing.

He read the prices. That's your idea of heavy research? I'll bet you did well in school.

Wrong. Most don't.

I don't thing the author would disagree. He merely stated he wouldn't go there. Get over it.

I concur. I don't care how good a pizza is.$35 is way to much for a pizza. Better come with beer and delivered by a naked chick. NOT from Benton. I don't want to be disgusted before I eat.

No you're wrong. Almost every food delivery service charges for the delivery. Anywhere from one to three dollars plus tip (unless you're a total douchebag and stiff the driver) is the norm for a delivery to a place 5 miles or less from your stores location.

Just had benton pizza hut delivery this evening. Ordered two stuffed crust meat lovers (four meat toppings) pizzas, cost $26.82 and no in-town delivery charge. Tipped the driver $3 for the fast delivery.

Stop talking about yourself in the third person. You're the owner.
If you can't stand criticism, you're probably not cut out to run a business.

Ok- whoever started this forum is someone who obviously has something against Carl & his family. I mean why else would you get on here and go on & on with your mindless ranting? Littering front doors with menu.....blah blah blah. Delivery charges...blah blah blah. Debit/credit cards.....blah blah blah. So you don't order their food....who gives a shit? I'm sure the Clark family couldn't care less. So, go try and sell crazy somewhere else....we're all stocked up here. K- thanks.

All other pizza places do have a delivery charge added in your total. Your paying to have your food delivered & you don't even know it. They just fail to mention they are tacking on $2.00 every time you order (sometimes more, depending where your at.) At least Clark's Pizza makes the costumer aware of the delivery charges on the menu. Oh, and the delivery charges are going to the driver. There are people out there that don't tip & so it helps compensate what he/she would spend in gas to bring food to your home. Remember people.....gas isn't cheap so quit your whining, you pussy bitches!

An extremely common practice that I would expect someone who proudly proclaims to be "lifelong 62812" to complain/know nothing about.

Another extremely common practice, even in Benton. Pizza Hut and Domino's both charge delivery fees.
You're retired huh? I think you need a hobby.

You were charged a delivery charge, just too stupid to believe you wouldn't be charged if they didn't specifically tell you so. Domino's employees were told when they started charging delivery fees back the first time around wtih $4 gas specifically NOT to mention the delivery fee. They said don't lie, just don't offer up the information.

There's either been in influx of new pizza places in Benton that I'm unaware of, or you are talking out of your ass.

So; "Wrong. Most do."

so when i sit in the pizza hut dining room to eat and pay the exact same price for the same thing that I had delivered the previous week, is it because they are they charging me a $2.00 eat-in fee?
