Friend it is called Capitalism--but it works only for the rich who are in control of our legislators and they in turn are well paid to pass bills that are favorable for the rich and their corporations. In these times the rich lso wants what is in your back pocket you valuables you have worked for to have a better life style in your old age.The rich want it and they are taking it through passed legislation in your state and federal legislation.

The new Emergency Manager law goes to the extreme of destroying democracy. unbridled capitalism that only benefits the mega-rich is the same as corporatism, or fascism when Corporations overrule government. We the people will not tolerate this.

Do you folks in Michigan have the right to petition for a recall? that is your solution if you have that right. Better be quick before they rewrite that right out of existence. How do you think some women feel with their rights being taking from them even to visit the planned parent hood for a health checkup. The working class has had their rights taken away slowly inch by inch over the years and now the republicans think they can now abuse the working people as they have gotten away with the abuse for so amny years. this time it may be to late for the working class.

Pappy, the law here in Michigan is that a governor can be recalled once they've been in office for 6 months. We've already had the petition language approved, and my household will be collecting signatures soon. The repuglican govs all are taking away rights from women, workers, seniors, the poor, the unemployed, etc. Our constitution is based on giving rights. Being an open-minded progressive liberal, I'm against the targeting of any group as the scapegoat for societies' problems. The repuglicans never admit to their complicity is the creation of our economic woes. Instead they target the "other", whether it be to diminish women, gays, Muslims, free-thinkers, Mexicans, etc. They are natural haters because they operate from fear which leads to hate. The Red Wings are playing game 7 tonight, I hope they win!!!

Friend, at least you can recall the snake in the grass. Been a lot of republicans snuck in under the radar by not informing the public of their true intentions. to break the back of the working class.

Pappy, google ALEC to see how far the repuglicans will go to totally subvert our democracy. Ripping up the U.S. constitution in favor of a Plutocracy is their plan.

Friend, down here in Texas our attorney general has sided with the bankers when it comes to thsoe robo signed foreclosures. A typical republican he is, dam the working class and bless the rich and the corporations. Several Republican A.G.s have dropped out of the suit to penalize the Bankers who were being investigated for the banks circumventing the due process of foreclosure. The banks in doing thi act saved milllions and made millions more in profits. For each foreclosure a bank can make as much as $8,000 in profits and even more in robo foreclosures. At least that is what I have read. And as always the Bankers will come out smelling like a rose, smelling like a new born baby--innocent. and stilll make a killing in their fraudulent actions, my opinion. Are you foklks making any headway in that recall petition. As always the rich get richer and the working class get poorer.

Friend, the net worth of the 10 richest congressmen have a combines net worth of 2.8 billion. No wonder they look after the rich so good and have so many tax breaks. they are also have the full intentions of looking out for themselves first and foremost. Makes me wonder if they have any intentions of giving the working class some of that attention, I doubt it.

Pappy, you're right, that's why I agree with what Professor Cornell West said the other day. In paraphrase, President Obama must get tough on Wall Street, kick them, fully regulate them. They are the reason we are in this near depression, the Bush/Cheney "starve the beast" plan. Unregulated speculations (gambling) on Wall Street led to the mortgage disaster, and had devastating effects on all 50 states and several other nations.

Friend, the speculators are now trying to capture the food grains around the world for their profits. Even the several different countries are buying and storing up grain for their future soas not to have food shortages in their country. Large ag inndusrial conpnies are buying up huge plots of land and also water rights. Water is one commodity that no one can do without. The future holds higher prices in foood grains and water.
